Hi! I would love for you guys to check out my new video, it took quite the effort.
The Force Awakens trailers put together in chronological order, showing the story line?

Do you agree with the order? Disagree? Give me your input!

(A new tv spot is released, so therefore a new video in the link then the first one i uploaded)

That's absolutely mindblowing to see everything in order. The only bit I personally think would be better reordered are the Resistance bits. I'd say Jakku is perfect, then Maz's castle, then the x-wing attack, then Rey/Kylo, followed by the Resistance base/preperations into all the Starkiller sections. No proof of any of this, just the way it flows for me! Outstanding job though!

Wonderful, thank you for making this! :)

Just a note about the disclaimer at the end: It should read "Disney/Lucasfilm" (not LucasArts, which was the old games division).

    But great job!
The order you have here feels right, but I'll have to watch it again... :)

the only thing i can think of, is the Finn-Poe scene on the ship and Kylo torturing Poe. If MSW is right, that happens at the beginning and poe actually escapes with finn

You're a bit off, especially in some parts.

Before Kylo's shuttle lands, we should see Poe with his blaster, looking up at it (with the blue X-wing parked in the background)... near the end of these village attack scenes, add in the shots of BB-8 fleeing from the village, looking back and seeing explosions and things (which is probably Poe's blue X-wing being destroyed), before the shot of the 4 transports flanking Kylo Ren's shuttle back to the Star Destroyer Finalizer as they return from their mission, with the captive Poe on board.

Judging by the time of day we see Rey after cutting BB-8 free in the new trailer, she would need to be introduced and meet up with BB-8, before Finn crashes.
So after we see the ships heading to the Star Destroyer, cut to the closeup of masked Rey scavenging, show her going down the rope, then the new shot of her on the sand dune shaking/tapping something with her hand. Then we'll get a few shots of her on her speeder heading into town to clean up her loot. Then probably the shots of her scrubbing stuff up and smiling at whatever she is looking at.

Following this whole sequence with Rey, we then cut back to the Star Destroyer, where we see Kylo Ren interrogating Poe Dameron to learn that BB-8 carries what he is looking for. Then we see a stormtrooper (Finn in disguise) leading Poe through the Star Destroyer, before the 2-man TIE fighter starts shooting up stuff in the hangar and getting shot down.

I'm not entirely sure how Rey meets up with BB-8. I don't know if she sees the droid around the trading post before hand, and then goes off to rescue it after she heads home, or if she rescues the droid when she first meets it... but the general passage of time seems to be:
    1. night - village attack
    2. day - Rey scavenging - salvage station/trading post.
    3. sunset/evening - Rescue BB-8.
    4. day - Finn wakes up, meets Rey, Falcon escape.

Before we see Finn wake up, there will probably be more scenes with Rey... it's possible the BB-8 rescue may even take place at this time. I'm just not sure how long Finn is knocked out for. Anyway, Finn wake's, then we see him looking out over the trading post with Poe's jacket in his hand.

Now we cut back to after Rey and Finn meet - the scene where BB-8 rolls outside the tent thing, and Rey and Finn follow after. Then see Finn on the ground to be helped up by Rey, then they run to one ship as it explodes, then they run to the Falcon.

The Falcon scenes and shots after that are correct up to Maz giving the lightsaber to Leia. I think that's a bit soon....
Instead of that, we should cut to Rey looking up at the TIE's and ships flying overhead. Then to Finn, Han, and Chewie with their hands behind their heads...
Then the scenes of the X-wings approaching/fighting over the ruins. Then cut to Rey firing her blaster at... Kylo? Then Kylo with his lightsaber next to Rey's face.

Now we want to see people back at the resistance base... Poe getting off his black X-wing and passing Finn, Leia and Han embracing.

Then we can head back to Starkiller scenes with the X-wings and Finn vs Kylo, Rey crying... basically, that is the latest shot in the movie we have seen. I do not believe anything else we've seen comes after that, except maybe for that one image with Rey and Chewie on the Falcon that showed up on some merchandise...

I'm going to tell you right now, that in this instance, MSW is 100% correct.
Fact: Poe is on Jakku at the start of the movie
Fact: there are 2 people in that TIE Fighter when it crashes

I haven't got any of those PM's yet...
Do you still believe Jason Ward is right about the movie opening with the lightsaber in space?

If you did, I might say you were in love with him...

I hope MSW is wrong about it, the only worrying thing is that it's been a while since anyone commented on the actual opening shot. I still put the sabre rumour in one of MSW more "iffy" interpretations.

Well, I keep going back to what MSW leaked in March this year.

"3 INT NIGHT IMPERIAL TROOP LANDER Stormtroopers wait in cramped silence, Finn is out of sync."

This specific scene number was even verified by the Comic-con reel:

@ ~0:18 mark, you can clearly see the clapperboard with "Scene 3" during filming of the stormtroopers inside the landing craft.

Knowing that this is scene 3... how do we fit the following 8 scenes in before hand?

    Answer: you don't.

A few things I would put in a different order but I'm not going to nit pick. That was a darn good edit.

    Thanks for the feedback!

I see some of you posting detailed information about the script, seems like you have this from rumors and spoilers outside of the official released material. So i'm not digging into that.

I don't read spoilers, J.J seem to have a pretty good idea on what to show the audience and what to keep back...

I see now that I've done a few mistakes though. Poe has the jacket in the torture scene, which Finn later uses... So the Poe-jacket clips are definitely before Finn reaches Jakku dressed with the jacket. Got dammit! This video is old news already...

    Good job.

There was also a shot of the crashed tie that could be included and ive seen the japanese trailer online without subtitles

poe being dragged along by the stormtrooper probably goes before the tie shooting up the hangar bay

IF the idea of a flashback/ force vision is legit the scenes of the knights of ren in the rain and luke touching r2 probably go around the scene of maz handing the lightsaber to leia
i DO hope the knights of ren are part of the movie proper though

was cool to see though. thanks for the effort

    ------------------------------------------------------------
This probably happens just before the scene when she asks 'where do you come from?'

This is great! I do think all of the Poe shots (captured, tortured, looking at something) happen in the opening sequence though.

We've seen stuff from a lot more than just the first third of the movie...

I believe you are right... but has Rey already seen BB-8 back at the Trading Post at this point?
That's what I'm not sure of yet.

You'll need to add in the TV spot footage now.

    i doubt it.

    i think it goes:

    Night (Desert)
    - mud/stick hut village attacked by FO
    - Poe watches through gun sight
    - BB-8 at night watches explosion

    Day shots
    - BB-8 captured (photo)
    - Rey Acquires BB-8
    - Rey and BB-8 in trading post
    - Rey helps Finn
    - Ties attack trading post

I'm pretty sure we see Rey scavenging in the Star Destroyer and traveling to the trading post before she rescues BB-8 though.

There will be a reveal moment where she pulls off the goggles and then later when she pulls off her head covering, and we'll never see her wearing them again.

I know that it might seem a bit strange for them to reveal Rey like that after having seen her in the trailers and stuff... but there's a symbolic reasons for this.

I believe the scene where she is distracted from her work, while looking up and smiling at something (probably the "bus stop" mother and child), is before BB-8. (This is to further establish her loneliness and longing for family, to help sell her motivation for keeping BB-8 to audiences later on.)
