Vader was killing rebels left and right. Luke had to have Wedge save his butt so he was not a fantastic pilot. Vader was 5 seconds from killing Luke "I have you now.

It's definitely not the worst movie of all time, far from it. It's just a generic action movie appealing to nostalgia without any originality whatsoever, plus its trying to set up a mystery box similar to a TV series, which is not how I think movies should be like. It's enjoyable for what it is, but... It's still pretty "so so".

And the prequels were definitely better than TFA, in my opinion, simply because they had much more originality and a much more compelling basic storyline.

It's always going to be difficult to make movies set after ROTJ, because ROTJ is such a epic finale of approximately 1000 years of planning by the Sith.

I've seen A New Hope possibly 100-200 times maybe.

The Force Awakens? Four times. Twice at the cinema in 2015 and twice on bluray in 2016.

I haven't watched TFA since or want to again. And yes, I do still have a bluray player and I am not blind.

ROTJ was an epic finale for the Sith by using another DS and whose best troops get defeated by small bears?

I always saw the victory of the Ewoks as a way to display one of the many flaws of the Sith. Think about it, the Ewoks are a rural, not advanced population and the more technically advanced Empire understimate them. It never bothered me seeing the "little bears" winning against the prejudiced Empire only with their forces, it's a good moral aim. IMO ofc.

Same. A New Hope may be my favorite SW movie ever; I've seen it countless times and it never gets old.

TFA, instead, has more and more flaws popping out when I rewatch it.

    What Justmeonhere said.

Although to be fair, when I said "epic finale" I was thinking more in terms of the final confrontation between Luke and Vader, and the death of the Emperor. Hence why I specifically said "1000 years of planning by the Sith". But maybe you missed this in my post.

Agree 100 %. I think it´s almost poetic. I've always loved Return of the Jedi. There's things I did not like in it, but I think it has the best lightsaber duel as well. Not the most hi tech one, but very emotional. In the scene Palpatine is very arrogant, and I think that's a good picture on why the sith and the Empire failed, due to underestimate their enemies.

I didn't disagree too much with what you were saying (I like TFA, but not gonna begrudge you your difference in opinion) until you said the PT's were better. God the acting in the PT is amongst some of the worst performances given by great actors like Portman (Academy Award winning actress) Ewan and Liam. Seriously the first two are unwatchable. I can't watch Jar Jar, Jake Lloyd, etc. Darth Maul was cool as hell, but he dies and that's all she wrote. The CGI in II was just too much. The third was better, but not great. Solid.

As for originality, let's see, desert planet? check. Damsel in distress? Check. Already sounds a lot like Episode IV.

Saying TFA is the "worst" film ever is just so typical of the FB/Social Media meltdown over nothing generation. Just a bunch of drama queens vying to get attention with their over the top denunciation of whatever has them agitated.

By the way, as a point of reference, here are the Rotten Tomatoes scores:
    a. The Phantom Menace: 55
    b. The Attack of the Clones: 66
    c. Revenge of the Sith: 79
    d. A New Hope 93
    e. Empire Strikes Back: 94
    f. Return of the Jedi: 80
    g. The Force Awakens: 93
    h. Rogue One: 85
    i. The Last Jedi: 93
