The implication here is that Toys R Us is differentiating between Kylo Ren and 'Lead Villain.' So 'Lead Villain' has a mask.

 

Uh more likely the toy is Kylo Ren's mask and he is the lead villain. Which is why his face is all over the marketing front and center. That doesn't mean he doesn't have a boss it means he is the primary antagonist. Which he clearly is. Serkis is likely to be playing his master but he doesn't have many scenes.

No. This list wherever it came from doesn't specify any character names, however Kylo has a mask, it probably does modify his voice, although that's beside the point, it's the toy that is electronic and that could mean lots of things, like it replays dialogue from the film.

I'm sure they're totally going to make lots of toy versions of it, and this is more than likely one of them. Also it's not really baseless speculation at this point that he is the lead villain.

All signs here point to Kylo, and more likely the cyborg was an early concept of him which was scrapped, though it could be Serkis' character as well I suppose, but ya there really isn't any evidence of something new here and we don't exactly need yet another thread to talk about Andy Serkis' character.

 

This doesn't necessarily tell us the lead villain wears an electronic mask, it tells us that in order for kids to play the villain they need an electronic mask. The mask could be of an alien face with a voice modulator or SFX generator. Not the same....

 

The fact that they refer to some items as Kylo Ren and others as Lead Villian, doesn't mean they're refering to different characters. For instance, there are different price levels of lightsabers. The cheap ones are called Lead Villian, the more expensive "FX" ones are called Kylo Ren, but there aren't lightsabers with both designations at either price point.

I'm far more interested in the "alien sidekick" mask. I suppose it could be Chewbacca, but you would think they could use his name as they do with the Darth Vader toys.

No offense but this news doesn't confirm anything new.

 

We are back at this tin can return theory, somebody drop a car on this theory.

The imperials must have used the same manufactures who created Vader's mask which is why it appeared in the second trailer.

I cannot understand how an item could be called Kylo Ren lightsaber and another one Lead Villain Lightsaber if it's the same person.
Also, there is a mask called "voice changer" so I guess this means that the electronic mask doesn't change the voice.

 

Dude its just a generic list, only special items that aren't part of a line have character names attached.

Also the list is old. We knew about this stuff back in January.

Supposedly, the person who sent the site the list doesn't think that the items on the list are actually going to be sold. So we don't know exactly what items stores are actually going to sell or what exactly the price points on items will be.

There is also a mention of an item with the phrase "Star Wars 7 Lead Villain" and then some other items with the phrase "Star Wars 7 Villain".
