No, saying why your false equivalencies are wrong is what it's come to and you can't handle that.

you had our main heroine standing there like a battered girlfriend while the main villain calls her nothing. She tearfully agrees before all but disappearing for the final act. Before this, RJ removed her brain as she decided she was gonna convince kylo ren to be a good boy. This takes place less than a month after she watched him kill his father for trying to the same thing. Apparently chewie has also had his brain removed as he's cool with this and drops her off.

Finn has his arc reset so he can go on the same exact arc he went on inTFA. He's played as a coward who instantly tries to bail on his friends. By this point, the only main character that hasn't bodied finn, is poe. Hell even hux smacks the blast outta him. Oh and if that wasn't enough, lets throw another janitor joke in there. Yeah, they have a stormtrooper that broke conditioning and defected to the good guys, yet all they can think of are cowardly janitor jokes. No thanks. I'd rather they just cast chris evans and cut the BS. Its amazing that this is the same saga that a character like lando calrissian exists.

A month? Hell it was literally less than a few days and possibly only about 24 hours if we follow the logic that the Resistances gas guzzling SUV's only had 19 hours of fuel.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. Seems to me pointing out the positive white male characters is like playing Where's Waldo. =) Like, the entire resistance (y'know, the good guys) are either female, minority, or both. I'm not trying to be controversial here, it's just a fact, isn't it? Like, look frame by frame at all the resistance members. Seems pretty flattering to me. *shrug*

Did Rey outsmart Force Ghost Yoda... and if she knows everything in the books why would she steal them?

I still question in TFA the opening scroll says Leia is desperate to find Luke. Once she has the map, why would she send Rey to meet with Luke? Because a complete stranger (Mary Sue) can persuade Luke to join the resistance better than Leia?

I think that Leia sensed some reflection of Luke in Rey, she found Anakin Lightsaber, she had a vision and won duel with Kylo Ren.
Don't forget that Leia had some other responsibilities - she was a leader of the Resistance, that's why she sent Poe on a mission to meet with Lor San Tekka.

Leia could have taken the Resistance to Luke. They were already fleeing the FO. The FO had no clue where Luke was, which was an unmapped system. In theory it would have been the safest place for them.

Regardless Leia wouldn't have left this in the hands of a stranger.
I think Rey's a Skywalker. The music confirms that hunch.

Maybe Leia partially understood the emotional state of Luke and she didn't want to overwhelm him by coming with "full force".
Also there was a risk that Resistance (fleet) could be detected by First Order, it's easier and safer to use some piece of junk to get there (Ach-to).
In the end - maybe we just need to accept this and use our own imagination.

    Anti-family propaganda

I'm partially in for SW for the family soap opera aspect like in Rogue One or the Sabine episodes of Star Wars Rebels.

Nobody ever said the Force only belongs to the Skywalkers. Only people who have never seen SW before or are ignorant would say that.

All these actors and Kathleen Kennedy and directors have been yammering on about the sequel trilogy being about family.

And it is. Rey was offered a job on the falcon. Finn risked his life and faced his biggest fear - returning to the first order - to save her. Leia in TLJ ending had clearly formed a bond with Rey, and Luke is her adoptive father at this point. It's not a conventional family, sure. But that's what makes it special.

Wisdom they held, but that library contained nothing that the girl Rey does not already possess.” - Yoda
    She already possesses the books.

I think you're losing your mind over this film.

Friendly reminder that we don't know if Kylo was lying to her or if her feelings have been manipulated by him or Snoke. She might not truly know either way. But if her fear is that she and her parents are nobodies, then it would make sense that in that moment she might jump to that conclusion. Kylo has her backed into a corner emotionally. Maybe Kylo put it into her head that she was nobody when he (possibly) left her on Jakku? I think IX is going to shine a lot more light on this. But you never know. I just think maybe jumping to conclusions is a bit out there. After all, I'm sure a lot of people thought Vader was lying to Luke until Yoda confirmed it in ROTJ.

Rey is a nobody. It's been confirmed by RJ and it's the theme of the entire film leading right up to the small child at the end.

Yeah. Compassion and empathy really suck as human emotions huh. They didn't make her strong at all. Even after her meeting up with Kylo was after she'd discovered her new mentor had let him down and that he'd been exposed to the dark side for a long time, Luke tells her "Snoke had been influencing him for a long time". And then she turns him down with good cause and fights him and his army to save her friends, not disappearing but letting other characters have the limelight, including Finn. And to call her a "battered girlfriend" is to do her character a disservice and is anti feminist as hell.

Now I'm not saying Finn's arc was perfect in TLJ. RJ did let him down. But he isn't a coward. At the start of the film he has no ties to the resistance and immediately goes to look for Rey, the only person whom he made it clear at the end of TFA he was worriedly about.

Anti biological family propaganda then. Despite Luke and Leia being adopted in the OT and loving their adopted parents. For shame.
    --- Double Post Merged, Dec 20, 2017 ---
Timeline nixed Kylo leaving her on Jakku a long time ago. He turned at 23 and was with his parents before then. No dice there I'm afraid. And RJ has confirmed Kylo told the truth.

Awesome write up in the New York Times about Kiri Hart and the Lucasfilm story group:

This commitment to diversity can also been seen in the diversity of story telling.

Watched The Last Jedi for the fourth time tonight....... gee... I can say now, this is my favorite Star Wars movie of all time.
I predict (Read my words here).... years from now, this will be seen as a classic.

I love the classic characters.... as much as I love the new characters in the saga.
Damn, they are doing things so right with them in this movie.
And what they did with the remaining classic characters is just pitch perfect.

I am about to lose my faith in the universe with all the hate, gee... this is such a fantastic movie.
    I love this new trilogy.
