With the announcement of Rogue One, I've been contemplating whether the Force will play a role in this movie at all. Now I definitely don't think it will be prevalent like in The FORCE Awakens. But do you think we will see force-sensitive beings in this movie?

That's an interesting question. Whether it revolves around Rogue Squadron, bounty hunters, something else or all of the above, it could be possible to totally avoid force sensitives altogether. I like the force and all, but it would be refreshing!

I just don't think it is Star Wars without a little bit of the Force. I'm sure if the the story is good people will like it.....but it will be a little less Star Wars and more, I don't know...Top Gun, Oceans 11, or whatever else people are comparing it to.

I'm on the other side of things. I think Star Wars contains multiple sides. That being a story told without force users running around can not only succeed, it can be a triumph.

Depending on what time period it's set in, there could be cameo appearances from force users (e.g Kylo /Luke if post ROTJ, or Vader if set in OT).

Whether or not there will be some force action.. an even more interesting question is will there be a light saber battle?

I agree that SW is so much more than just the force. There were quite a few Clone Wars episodes that featured neither force or light saber action, so it could a possibility.

I really hope this is a non-Force users centric movie. The Force is best in small doses like TNH and TESB. Honestly, I would love to see a Star Wars movie without a lightsaber. Not counting Caravan of Courage. Of course.
