Remember the weird alliance Ahsoka and Ventress forged in The Wrong Jedi arc? That was good stuff, right?!

What if over the ensuing years the two of them deepened that alliance and became a sort of ass-kicking, quasi-Jedi/Sith vigilante crew? I think that would present all sorts of story and even spinoff ideas for Filoni or Lucasfilm, writ large. Both of those character became fan favorites procise because they were so compelling and complex, and still have some DEEP story to mine. Working together as a team, or part of a large organization like the Rebel Alliance, there's all sorts of fun dynamics possible. Think Obi-Wan and Anakin, but more volatile, maybe less disciplined, and more idealistic

Now imagine if they were, together, Fulcrum. It's the perfect metaphor. The balance between light and dark.

    Whatcha think?

I'm looking forward to the Ventress-Voss book coming out in June or July. It would be pretty mind blowing to have these guys return! (epic fail)

Nope. They won't. Haven't noticed yet that star wars is well in to trope territory where characters never actually really die?

Hm I think that's really the old EU you're talking about. While they certainly have some crazy adventures, eventually they do kill off pretty popular people in the movies.

    EPI: Qui-Gon dies
    EPII: Jango Fett dies
EPIII: Dooku, Padmé, Grievous, those annoying Trade Federations guys, buttloads of Jedi die.
    EPIV: Obi-Wan dies
EPV: Ok I can't think of anyone notable that died, unless my memory is totally failing me.
EPVI: Jabba, Vader, Emperor, Yoda, they all die.

Granted, a few of those characters died in the same movie they were introduced in. Still popular though.

Qui-gin comes back as a force ghost
Jango was only in it to explain clones and give Boba motivation. Hard to say hes really dead when there's a million clones.
All of those were really ancillary characters whose deaths were largely unnoticed. Padmes death was a forgone conclusion based on what we already knew about how the saga unfolded. Grievous only was there because George thought bringing Maul back was dumb which he went ahead and did in clone wars anyway.
Obi-Wan comes back as a force ghost.
Yoda comes back as a force ghost, Vader comes back as a force ghost, Emperor comes back multiple times in the EU.

    I rest my case.

Again, EU doesn't count for anything.

As for Force ghosts... meh, they don't really discount the death of the character to be honest. The most extensive use was Obi-Wan, and most of what he did was be there for fewer scenes than Yoda and basically just reinforced what Yoda said. Qui-Gon is a tricky issue... he only appears as a disembodied voice rarely used, and isn't visible except for in Mortis... which was a weird story arc in its own right. Any which way, they no longer play a real part except a handful of private "discussions" with one of the characters.

Seems like semantics. My point is star wars needs to let death mean something or you will wind up in comic book land where nothing has any actual repercussions because you know the hero will survive, or if he dies they will find some convoluted way for him to come back. You may not care for my analysis but I'm not wrong.

Oh indeed, I agree with you completely on that. Force ghosts I can explain away given the odd nature of it, but it does get tiresome. Sometimes the fans are the ones to blame essentially, with Maul for instance. I've even seen fan art for a Mace Windu Rebels appearance, believe it or not.

But he never died onscreen. That's the difference in his argument.

Though, now that I think about it, neither did Bail Organa...

Maybe Fulcrum is 3 people standing on each others shoulders with a big robe covering them all up.

Ahsoka Tano, Asaaj Ventress, Quinlan Vos.

And several people seem convinced that he'll "come back" so to speak for TFA... which would totally kill my point if it happens. :D

Yeah I realized I forgot that... but the "thousand year" thing kind of left it up in the air. We'll have to wait and see what time frame the supposed Fett spin-off takes place in. I was assuming it would be before his "death" but some people think it'll be after RotJ. As far as we know now though, he is as good as dead.

Yes it's difficult to know with them changing canon....and then I read Canon can also be what George Lucas states...but that had to be before Disney bought Lucas Film...although Lucas Said Boba Fett and Maul were both alive....

So I guess it's right 'From a certain point of view' and yeah you're right Bail Oragana is dead too. And his wife who we met in the Prequels....

I just realized that I helped bring this thread way off-topic. Whoops. :D

That is an interesting idea. I really liked both characters, and they both had a similar situation (their system of belief and those they trust disappoint them). So it could be plausible... Not sure I could see them being a real team per se, but definitely working together from time to time. They both would probably have a beef with the Empire.

Would definitely love to see both return. It was kind of neat seeing "Fulcrum" or a supposed image of them in the latest episode. It almost didn't seem like Ahsoka by the shape though, but the voice definitely had the sound of a female's being distorted to sound deeper.

That's what sparked the idea. I mean, we know with some degree of certainty that Ahsoka is Fulcrum, but she's not the Fulcrum in the hologram. Maybe she's using a droid decoy. Maybe it's an elaborate PhotoChop on her part to disguise her identity. Maybe it's not her at all. Or maybe Fulcrum, as many people have said, is more than one person.

I could also see Fulcrum being a core group of senators of the Old Republic, like Organa, Mon Mothma, Ackbar, etc. who have finally former their alliance. That actually jobes with the deleted scene from Episode 3 where they were all in Padme's home discussing the possibility of a new alliance.

However that seems too "politicky" for a kid's show, so I'm still leaning more toward it either being Ahsoka in deep cover, or possibly a small team of rogue Jedi, Padawans, and maybe even a Sith assassin or two...

George Lucas said he made it out, and given that Boba Fett is one of the most profitable secondary characters in the series, I don't think that Disney would just let him die like that, either.
