Was the Kessel Run we saw in Solo really the one referred by Han in ANH?

And hire Anthony Ingruber for the role... Yeah, let's not give people any more ideas.

    Interesting responses. All of them.

Just a token for the analysis... There is no need to make an entire sequel about a specific fact in order to establish that fact in SW. For example, after ROTJ, we might have wished to see Luke fulfilling Yoda's request "pass on, what you have learned" on-screen. TFA established that this had already happened and focuses on a whole different storyline. They only need 10 on-screen seconds for Han to say that Luke had been working on creating a new generation of Jedi.

Back to Solo, there wouldn't really be a need to make a sequel about Kessel run 2.0. The movie could have a completely storyline and a any character (Han, Jabba, Greedo) could make a 10-second reference of the Falcon's second Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs, that happened between the events of Solo and its sequel.

That of course, if the intent is to make Han's words completely honest in ANH.

Nevertheless, we should remember that Han was in "sales-mode" when he was offering the Falcon to Kenobi. He was selling his services. No disrespect to anyone who works in Sales (I occasionally do) , but we all know that there are salespeople out there that may tell you whatever you need to hear to convince you. In ANH, Han may fit this profile.

I think this was intended by the creators to be the Kessel Run referenced in ANH. Han is more than likely just exaggerating his story later on and making it smaller every time he tells it to seem more impressive.

It's possible he did attempt the Kessel run again if someone challenged him to prove that he could actually do it, seems like something Han would do, and then beat his original run but that is just speculation.
