Rey in the old romantic language of Europe means King. An old Irish fable discusses the King of Birds, which I will link here:
    http://www.untoldstories.org.uk/storytelling/irish/ir_story02.html

What's of interest in the fable... the Wren hides itself into the feathers of the eagle, and just as the eagle appears to have won the contest to be named King; out comes the Wren to soar higher. "Thank You" proclaims the Wren to the Eagle.
Rey/ King, Knights of Ren/King of Birds... Ren on the back of Vader. Kills father, says Thank You. I think they are certainly entertaining this folklore for inspiration... Two "Kings", one flase, one true. they also filmed a pivotal scene in Ireland, on an Island (within the fable the birds gather to discuss who will be king, to be met by the wise owl who devises the plan to decide)Just some food for thought.
