    I have a feeling the KoR have been cut out of any major story importance to Ep IX as it just seems so impossibly dense as it is to handle in 2.5 hours. I would really think a KoR Disney+ series would be a pretty good project though. Maybe D&D could handle that if given the right partner.

    I concur. I think there will be littled expounding on KOR. They will be minions of Kylo, with fee or bo lines. I really wish they had been explored more fully in ST.

    They have plenty of time to show/tell things about the KoR but I have a feeling it will get kicked to books, comics, etc to dig deeper into their story.

    I agree. However, by then much of casual fandom will have lost interest. It’s a gamble to be sure.

    I’m not sure how much the casual fandom is invested in the Knights of Ren. I feel like it is the more hard core fan like us who wants the backstory. The casual fan is more likely going to take what they get from the Knights of Ren in TROS and roll with it.

    You are right. But for Disney, revenue matters and it would have been good to get a KOR book on the shelves so that casual fans might buy it while stilled hyped by TROS.

    Far fetched conjecture coming up ...

    The 'Ren' refers to 'Regeneration' oe even reincarnation. They were formed by Snoke to hunt down the Sith artefacts he needs to regenerate his master Palpatine.
    They were out hunting for said resurrection stuff during the events of ep 7 - 8. And now they are back, having (almost?) completed their Re(ge)n mission.

    When they were first announced.... I speculated that KoR was an elite group of protectors for the Lord Darth Plagueis that replaced the Sunguard and were named as such because of the planet Rhen Var. Oye, was I wrong.

    Maybe Snoke, sensing the inner conflict in young Solo, kept him close so he couldn't sabotage the re(ge)n mission? Revealed too early their (Snoke, Knights of Ren, both part of Palpatine's plan) long con would fail, and Solo would return to the light?
