    I don't think they were wasted, actually. The problem is that us fans are always creating super expectations about secondary characters. Same happened with Phasma.

    That said. The knights should have been a much bigger deal.

    For me, this was one of the small disappointments of TROS:

    the very limited screen time of the KOR.

    They felt borderline irrelevant to me.

    At least the Praetorian Guard got in some extended eye-candy presence + a quality action sequence in a highly visible and dramatic manner.

    Instead, the KOR were quickly and rather dimly dispatched as simply a brief and not really formidable obstacle for Ben to overcome in order to reach Rey.

    I hope a least one quality deleted scene will be available on the DVD/Blu-ray edition - or (and I'd much prefer this) there would be an "expanded edition / director's cut" with additional incorporated footage of KOR.

    I know the comics offer more space for them, but, I think it would have been nice to demonstrate their abilities in some substantial manner on-screen.

    The fight against the Knights by Ben was short and could have really used some space to show off. After he did a few great moves the fight should have had some tension. The same goes for Palpatine's guards Rey should have had a more protracted battle there.

    I have been waiting to see them fleshed out since the premier of TFA. Comics just got interesting.... and now, I'm almost like meh, why should I bother.

    I freaking loved Ben Solo's fighting style, shame that sequence was fast and short.

    I mean people saw them in the previews and they appeard as characters that could open up a can of whoop ass at least once because of how they we're presented but we got not one scene of either Phasma or the KOR that showed us ANNNNY inkling of bad assery. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Hyped up, but to no avail because they never followed through on it.

    They've got Chewie. They were sent to get Rey in Kijimi. And they fought Ben in the end. For a side characters they did a lot of things.
