A question for the writers: how do the guests get picked? Is there a sign up process or do you guys bring the member on that makes the most sense?

Good question! There's not really a method to the madness at this point, or at least nothing set in stone. In the first one, we went with @MadsLad for the opportunity to talk a little more about the inspiration of "Darth Saber". The initial "conversation" happened so long ago that he probably had entirely forgot about doing it at all. But now that we're up and running, that shouldn't be a problem anymore!

The users are obviously key to the comic, and we know that it means something different to each and every dedicated reader. Some come just for the laughs, some for the time and setting of it all, and some maybe don't know why they keep coming back but they're hooked nonetheless. We recognize an opportunity to talk to as many users as possible, and we're always excited to see what the next person has to say regarding Al's work here.

I guess I'd say the guest spots would probably derive from a mix of a user making a key suggestion, the user's specific interest in a certain character or development, and their overall enthusiasm for ORPA -- and of course, wanting to be a featured guest on The Knights' Watch. I don't see any harm in asking for volunteers, so if you'd be interested feel free to drop us a line. And conversely, if we approach you about a guest appearance and you're not feeling it at the time, just say so.. don't feel obligated!

Finally -- for anyone lurking out there, it's all but impossible to have you as a guest if we don't know who you are. Take the plunge and sign up for The Cantina, and start posting suggestions!
    :D
