    Newton's first.
The Raddus had pulled away and was flying with constant speed at that point.
The debris field around the ship seemingly interacting with the artificial gravity of the vessel was a nice touch too.

    a) It was a joke. Lighten up.
    b) The point stands - you say it isn't original yet the biggest gripes by the haterz are about it being "too different". Go figure.

I'm intentionally trolling you, cause you know opinions and such. But your opinion so vastly out numbers ours, ah I see now.

What does other peoples opinions have to do with my thread? Nothing. You are contributing nothing to this thread so let it go.

    Anyway...

Looking back, I can kinda see what @Snoke33 is referring to. TLJ hits a lot of beats similar to other movies.

But even when that's the case, I think there are subversions. Did Rian rely too heavily on the idea of subversions, trying to be too clever by a half. Maybe, I don't know I can say for sure either way.

In a way, I guess you could see TLJ as sort of a Magic Trick- Rian is holding something familiar and shiny while the real action is happening while you're distracted.

Again, not saying this was a perfect way to go, but I think it's how the film was handled.
