Luke's and Leia's piece could be based on either Luke and Leia OR Brother and Sister. I listened to both yesterday; they are similar but there are differences.

Personally, I dig Rey's theme. From TFA soundtrack, it's the record's highlight along with Jedi Steps. I'm also hoping to hear better fleshed out Kylo Ren's theme. I do like this 5-step brass sound that accompanies him, but hopefully JW puts more thought on it.
Finn's theme is also something we need. I'm assuming we might get something for Poe and the Resistance as well.

On Luke's theme, I'm thinking that JW might keep his old theme but with adjustments.

Well it was written with the intent of it being the actual Finn theme. But I agree with you so far as it is more a motif than an actual theme. But Poe's theme can be heard several times.

The Luke and Leia theme is actually one of my favourites. I'd very much like to see it return alongside the original Anakin theme.

I actually expected Anakin's theme to return in the other prequels, but for some reason that never happened. :(

Anakin's Theme is lovely, but I kind of agree with one of the commentators above that thematically it suited 9-something year old Anakin better than teenager Anakin. Dunno, just my thought. The fact is that there are absolute gems in each movie soundtrack. We, Star Wars fans, are in a great position for being able to be picky about this. I don't think I know any other movie series that has such a memorable music collection and such a prominent composer throughout the series.
...Harry Potter maybe comes close, but that's the only one I can currently think of.

I had thought of Finn's confession but it is too derivative of prequel trilogy underscore music and capitalises on Rey's theme a lot.

As far as poes theme it's possible but because it doesn't occur except.during the tie fighter sequence I reserve establishing it in my mind as his theme. Also it's for me to think that he has his own theme given that he was originally supposed to die after that scene.

It's funny because the only lead from the original trilogy that actually has their own theme is Leia
Sure Lando has a theme and Yoda has a theme. But neither Luke or Han have there own theme.
The motif that we all associate with Luke is really just the main theme and also the force theme, which could also be called the Skywalker theme. The closest we come to a theme for Han is Han Solo and the Princess. shoot even Darth Vader theme is actually meant for the Empire as a whole. Sidious has a cool them though.

Brother and sister is essentially an underscore piece that uses the Luke and Leia Motif.

I would tend to agree with you however I wouldn't complain if a slightly modified mature version of that Melody played when anakin was an adult in I and III. It would have been cool to morph the them.as Anakin changed through the trilogy

I would say that Han is basically the only major character, who has no theme in OT. The main title is Luke's theme, but it obviously drifted away from him throughout the years to become something more general (that's why I thought it would be cool if old Luke got a new one, but I guess that's unlikely). Same with the Force theme, but here the departure is even bigger, since it was just Obi-Wan's theme in ANH.

But you can also hear Poe's theme when Poe's X-wing blasts the enemy tie fighters from the sky in the Takodana sequence (one hell of a pilot) and you can hear it when the X-Wings and Falcon flee the imploding Starkiller Base.

I could only find the spanish version, lol.

I think you can also look at it as "the good guys getting upper hand" theme, but I'm cool with it being Poe's. It fits both.

I want to have a battle of the heroes in it. I thought that I would want duel of the fates but battle of the heroes is honestly better and duel of the fates has already been redone in aotc

A user on Reddit posted this a couple days ago in the starwarsspeculation network. It is a rumored list of the soundtrack titles for The Last Jedi. If these titles are true, they give away quite a bit about the outline of the plot. However the post is unverified and there is no proof that any of the soundtrack titles are legitimate. So take this with a grain of salt.... Screen Shot 2017-11-01 at 12.09.10 AM.png

Nah, it's probably fake. "D'Qar" is spelled like that, without double-r.

Obviously Rey and Kylo theme will show up.
I think Leia and binary sunset/force theme is pretty obvious as well.

I think we'll get a snippet of the imperial march as well.

And, I imagine the end credits would be titled "Blah blah blah & Finale." That's not always true with Star Wars, but it usually is.

Actually, [insert name of final piece prior to credits] and Finale has only been used in track listings in two films, if I remember correctly, namely being Attack of the Clones (Confrontation with Count Dooku and Finale) and The Force Awakens (The Jedi Steps and Finale).

The other five Skywalker Saga films had [insert name of final piece prior to credits]/End Credits, and Rogue One had three suites as opposed to one cohesive finale/end credits piece (a result of how late Giacchino was introduced to the process, no doubt).

Huh. My memory is off, then. I wonder if there will be consistency within this trilogy, though...

The problem with this is that SW Soundtrack always starts with "Main Title", not with "Main Theme".
    Therefore I call BS

Actually, one Saga film doesn’t have it’s OST begin with Main Title, as you stated was the case: Revenge of the Sith has Star Wars instead of Main Title.

Also, Rogue One doesn’t have an opening piece on it’s OST with Main Title either.

We're all very excited for the movie but I haven't seen anyone discussing the potential score for TLJ. I personally think given how dark and philosophical this film will be, I think John Williams will surprise us and give us some very unique and interesting pieces here.

What pieces do you think Williams will bring back from TFA or previous films? I believe Rey's theme, Jedi Steps, Binary Sunset and Kylo's theme are coming back for sure and maybe modernized and have another twist to them.

Williams said Rey's theme was his favorite and he wanted to expand on both Jedi Steps and Rey's theme.
