As many of us wait to see new toys for the Last Jedi a glimpse at themes and plots from the movie. How Luke looks like does he use a lightsaber or not, is Snoke real or a hologram? We look for these answers before the movie comes out, so any lead makes us wonder, a glimpse into the unknown future of Star Wars.

But my question is are these toys' leak real or fake, or is it just a misdirection from Disney as they did with the promotion of TFA with Finn holding the lightsaber a red herring while Rey is the chosen one, or is she?

From the Last Jedi toy leaks, we see a new image of Rey with her new clothing her staff and her lightsaber. We finally see Luke but with no lightsaber all these are figures. With Lego, we see Snoke with his golden clothing, and Kylo Ren with his light saber, we see Finn flying a resistance pod with Rose. But no toy leaks of Leia, DJ, or Snoke figures with Force Link.

But for me as a big fan of Star Wars and Finn, I notice that Finn in the last Jedi looks really corny the Big Deal looks like a big flop, in both videos they say, Finn, not impressive. So spending so much time looking at Youtube Last Jedi toy leaks I found few videos showing The Last Jedi figures Poe, Kylo Ren, Page, Rose, Luke with his cape that comes off, Rey who look sexy with her new clothing staff and lightsaber. But what I notice about these videos none of them take the toys out the package and examine them, move their figures, take them out their packages and show how these new toys work. You find on the package say, Force Link, some new toy that links to the figures with sounds. Someone who got hold of these toys by a chance will open them up and test them and show us as viewers how it works, but they are not doing so. So this makes me think these are all misdirections. What caught my eye is the toys of Finn's figures. I notice one has Finn with his flight jacket from TFA and his white shirt and blue pants, but in two video same packages but Finn has two different guns one golden brown and one with a white gun. Let us take a look:

    Finn with a White gun

Both of these toys say Force Link can these toys leaks be a bluff to throw us off, or they just good knock offs from China trying to make some big bucks before the movie comes out?

I think it's pretty common to have variants. Especially when dealing with pre production leaks. Force friday is in about a month, so we'll see. I'm holding out for The Vintage Collection, coming out in spring 2018. These 5poa guys are cool, but they don't say buy me, like TVC.

Here is another fake Last Jedi Toys Kylo Ren with Luke and Rey

    upload_2017-8-7_22-41-6.png

What gives it away is a Fake toy for the last Jedi is Rey what she wearing is from TFA and her hair and clothing is not like Vanity or The Last Jedi pictures from its trailers. Also, the boxing does not have the right star wars and Disney logos.

I'm pretty sure those are fake. I dont think they make force Unleashed anymore. It would be more likely TBS or Disney elite.

Those toys of Kylo Ren, Rey, Page, Rose, and Finn are fake because Finn has a small blaster now, that big blaster is from TFA and not the last Jedi, and they show two different guns with him one small golden brown, other one white long blaster is fake also. Or it is a misdirection from Disney having people make these videos with fake toys, or they knock offs from China, and you notice they never take these toys at their package and examine them.

New Finn has small hand blaster and holster on his pants for his gun, this how you know those figures are fake.

Misdirection conspiracy theories I don't see as likely.

1- Even if it threw people off Finn wasn't a red herring. He used the sabre twice in the film.
2- There is no need for Disney to involve itself in fake toy leaks they are made by fans. Figure customizers do this all the time. They are just trying pass off their work as legit.
3- Snoke and his general look has come from multiple sources not just toys.

Also, from autopsy - today I was coming back from London and on the airport I saw many children and every third or fourth boy had some kind of SW merchandise on him (that's also why they made Forces of Destiny - to increase brand awareness across girls) - backpacks, shirts, caps, etc., most of them with designs from the Sequel Trilogy. Some people want to paint Star Wars as a dead franchise, while in honesty, in terms of merchandise, it's doing fine.

I think that toys are changing. Lots of older collectors want toys like when they were kids, or highly articulated action figures (unlike our SW figures of old) but I don't think that is as big a market share as it was 40 years ago among kids. Also there is a lot of competition in toys in the early 80s you had SW and GI Joe for boys and Barbie for girls. Those niches have many more options today so the competition is much higher. Clothing is bought by parents who are down right evangelical about SW. I think kids are far more about interactive games, tablet and app games, and legos

it's not rotting. the pace of sale is likely regional. every time i go to Target i run into parents and other adults shopping the SW toys.
we always laugh and talk about what we're looking for and how crazy the prices are on ebay, etc.
and while there are definitely some "less popular" items, finding Black Series anything is practically impossible in the two major cities i've lived in over the last two years.
my brother finally had to send me a Hux because i have never actually seen one in a store--ever.
and i barely lucked out finding a Phasma and a Han Solo when they restocked for the TFA Blu/DVD release.

i don't even bother going to Toy R Us because they never have anything in stock.

For one, I don't think kids play with action figures that much anymore. Certainly not the way I did in the late 70s and early 80s. Kids are more into video games, I think. I, for one, don't buy Star Wars figures anymore. The last batch I bought was around Revenge of the Sith. Plus, the figures for these Disney movies just don't excite me. There isn't much of a selection and I've moved beyond 5 POA. I like the 6" Black Series, but they are rarely to be found on the store shelf, other than typical peg warmers, and I don't feel like buying any from a scalper.
