    It makes sense.
    In the Prequels, it was the Clone War.
    In the Originals, the Galactic Civil War.
    For the Sequels, they established essentially a cold war between the New Republic and the First Order, however, with the destruction of the Hosnian System, that's essentially the spark that lit the keg of a full scale war, with the vacuum of power between these two remnant organisations.

    That red text is wonderful. I hope this red theme continues for this film. Really helps separate visually from the rest and establish as more sinister and dark.

    And, for anyone looking for some sort of meaning there...Anakin Skywalker spiritually - and perhaps mostly physically - died in Revenge of the Sith, and he died altogether (becoming one with the Force) in Return of the Jedi. Another way of looking at it is that in Revenge Luke was hidden away as the galaxy's final hope, and in Return he made good on that, vanquishing the Sith. Heck, the Jedi mostly die out in III and, barring Luke, all of them are dead by the end of VI.

    I mean, I don't think Luke will die, but...

    Okay actually I've changed my whole perspective on this. The above is what I want now.

    I just assumed Kylo was going to have to die or be redeemed by the end of this trilogy. It would be amazing if they kept following his character arc that far.
