Same!! Lukes lightsaber and Endor are both green so I guess I connect that color to rotj

he is now a Dark Force User, yes, but still a fallen Jedi.
he can't stop being a fallen Jedi. that's a permanent condition unless he somehow manages to come back (which i doubt he will).

 

I'm not saying that this is what I think, but what if this does foreshadow the death of Luke? To me, Rey is not a Jedi yet. Especially assuming that this movie begins right where TFA ended. This would mean that someone else could be the last jedi. Leia? Snoke? Someone else? It will be great to find out.

 

If they want to get creative with it we start with a single Jedi (Luke) and end with a different lone Jedi.

I still kind of hope for a Rey going dark and Ben going light at the end of VIII

 

Well "dark Jedi" don't exist because that's irony right there. Jedi don't turn dark. And a Jedi is part of an order. Unless the definition has changed. Jedi don't fall. If you fall it's like getting divorced, in the sense of you lose your marriage name so you aren't a Jedi anymore but a simple force user that's not on the "light side" anymore

 

Interestingly, when asked about being a Jedi, Daisy remarked that she didn't think she was a Jedi...

 

i didn't say Dark Jedi. I said Fallen Jedi. Anakin Skywalker was a Fallen Jedi too.

even if you get divorced, you will always have been married once.

 

This is what I'm hoping for in the story arc over the next two films. Rey falls to the darkside, Kylo (Ben) redeeming himself, rejecting Snoke/the dark side and helping return Rey to the light by the end of the trilogy.

 

This title just stabbed me through the heart on an unsafe walkway on a massive space station and sent me swirling into the abyss! (in a hugely positive way of course!)

Awesome choice, really digging this.

“If Skywalker returns, the new Jedi….will rise” – what about the last of them?

 

Oh and if he comes back then that defeats the purpose of the chosen one. GL himself has stated that the reason anakin is the chosen one is because he is the only Jedi that's able to go back and forth from the light to the dark and survive.

I can't remember where I read it from a source but they were saying April at SW Celebration would be the first teaser? I figure the first teaser in April, the 2nd teaser in the summer, and the Trailer in October?

Either way, it is most definitely fitting.

 

They shouldn't let us wait so longgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg! Just give us a short one Lucasfilm? Just a few images? Concept art! I'll take anything now!

 

This is the first middle title that is more on a micro story level rather then a macro story level. Episode 5 was The Empire Strikes Back and Episode 2 was Attack of the Clones, both dealt with a larger scale part of the story. The Last Jedi is more personal, simliar to A New Hope and Return of the Jedi where it is focusing on one character.

I hear ya, but this year will fly by so even if we have to wait for April, it won't be that long. Heck we are almost into February.

This is why I don't have a problem with the Standalone Films every other year, because it holds our interest between the Saga movies. And now in 2017, it's all Episode 8 hype.
