On the contrary, I want to see a whole series of shows and movies with the CGI Luke. This is fairly new technology and they have come a LONG way since the two-second “hope” Leia. I want ILM to make this work, to demonstrate to the world that the final hurdle of computer generated imagery has been overcome. If ILM and Star Wars does not do it, another studio and franchise will make the technology work and get the credit. Star Wars has been on the forefront of many revolutionary processes and this is one I am particularly looking forward to. Just in case you haven’t guessed by now, I am a huge fan of performance capture and films like Final Fantasy, Kingsglaive, Beowulf, Polar Express, etc.

 

The way this technology is maturing I think we will have our first full digital “real life” CGI movie within the next 20 years

 

What exactly is the whole social media controversy with Gina Carano? I had read months ago about some angry folks on Twitter wanting her fired for some reason and that there was strong hate for her. There were articles and videos about it but I never cared enough to look into it because I hate Twitter and cancel culture. Gina is my biggest celebrity crush right now and so I don't want that ruined either.

Now I'm seeing new videos pop up on youtube being anti-gina in the titles or about Twitter now petioning for her to get fired or killed off in s3.

 

IIRC, (and I'm not at all well-informed here), she associates with anti-maskers and transphobic people on Twitter, apparently supporting them as criticism mounted against the offenders. Something like that...

 

Well sh**! Disappointed if true but still don't want her fired from the show and be jobless. That's just her personal life and views. I disagree with her but still like her character on the show and don't think she's all that terrible as an actress

Her landing this role in Mando is one of the warmest success stories in Star Wars. If the accusations are true, I'll be disappointed but I hope she's just being a bit dumb and careless if that's the case. (And remember, this is Twitter, so... hardly a reliable source or platform)

I was. It's related to the show as some people want her off the show now and I was simply asking. Not trying to start anything but simply a case of not knowing much. It's old news but like I said, it appears to be appearing again and it probably will yet again if she appears in trailers for s3 or the Rangers of the Republic

 

Ok I know I am not supposed to watch YT clickbait but what about the “blockbuster news! Mandalorian NOT confirmed for Season 3”????

We keep talking about the next “game changing” technology leap and this could be it—-essentially signaling the end of actual human actors in movies. Everything will be done digitally

 

Pretty sure season 3 has been confirmed multiple times for late 2021 with filming starting soon and that it will continue Din's story while Book of Boba is simply another spin off show.

 

I felt a disturbance in the Force... as it seems that Mando S3 will come to D+ somewhere from early to mid 2022!!
