Personally I don’t think we will see any of Grogu training as the show is about Din. Also at this point in the timeline as far as I’m aware Luke hasn’t started his Academy & is still exploring the galaxy in his quest to discover more about Jedi history from those Jedi texts he had in TLJ.
If Luke & Ahsoka ever do meet up that will be in the Ahsoka series not in The Mandalorian.
Also this show takes place about 4 years after the Battle of Jakku.

Ah ok, maybe now I understand. I tought that both the Battle of Jakku and The Mandalorian were set in 5 ABY. But actually the Battle of Jakku took place 5 years after Yavin while The Mandalorian is set 5 years after Endor. Correct? I think I have confused the two battles.

The latter version is approximately correct. We’re about 5 years from Endor so about 9-10 After Yavin. and Operation Cinder and Jakku were within the year after Endor, so about 5 after Yavin.

on a separate note. As I think back on the Mando series as a whole, I find myself..a little torn. I’ve no doubt enjoyed a good chunk of the series as I went through week-by-week with my wife. Plenty of moments where the kid in me went “whoa, cool.” And it had some great character moments here and there, both spoken and unspoken.

But once those are done? It feels weird. Not quite hollow, but I’m not as satisfied. I see people say “now this is Star Wars” (insert kid Anakin voice), and I can’t help but think “how? What does it have that other stuff doesn’t?” Kind of like when I see Solo and R1 held up as “real Star Wars,” what makes it that?

but maybe that’s the different preferences. Solo, I’ve barely gone back to. With Mando, there may be only a few episodes that I feel the desire to rewatch, and typically those are the more character focused moments or Ahsoka’s Force talk. Am I missing something, or am I wrong in this and misunderstanding Mando compared to other Star Wars media?

edit, forgot: “character focused moments or Ahsoka’s Force talk...and the moments of threading to the sequels.”

Another good reason to not expect Grogu being trained is that, with the exception of Luke on Dagobah, Star Wars has NEVER dwelt on training. The Empire Strikes Back covered all we need to know to make the force and the potential and abilities of those that are gifted compelling enough but to also keep it a mystery. I expect things will pretty much stay that way.

Let's remember that "in development" doesn't necessarily mean it's actually happening. Or hell, if this story is even legit. I'm actually leaning towards the latter. He puts the fan favorite Sebastian Stan as the lead role.

Maybe The Mandalorian and its connected series will span decades in the GFFA.

So after all this, all these emotions and showdowns and character moments, we are left with one burning question...

“What are Frog Lady and Frog Man’s REAL NAMES?”

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Adam Driver didn't really want to do any more Star Wars

True. It'll just be an hour special though but a little something something anyway. Hopefully they give little hints and tidbits about s3

Making it an under examined topic worth exploring.

'The Gathering' episode of TCW, for example, is one of the more well regarded installments in that series.

If someone were to put a blaster right up against beskar and shoot, would the bolt penetrate? In chapter 5, Din's beskar is singed by a bolt from Fennec's sniper rifle. As we have seen, blasters obviously do little to nothing against beskar. So if some people switched to using a sniper rifle like Fennec's in close combat somehow, would that be a danger to mandalorians? And as for my first question, I've seen several instances in the EU (which I know is not cannon anymore, but still) where close range blaster bolts to beskar have penetrated. Is this a continuity thing, or am I missing something?

If the plot needed it to, yeah, probably.
