Pedro Pascal has provided a brief update on what viewers can expect from the third season of The Mandalorian, following his character Din Djarin and his buddy Grogu's surprisingly early reunion in The Book of Boba Fett.

If you're expecting Pascal to give away anything mind-blowing about the third season, which is still filming, then lower those expectations: the update that he's provided is one that won't be getting him targeted by Lucasfilm's sniper droids for giving too much away. While talking to the German magazine Neelix (hat tip Screen Rant), he gave the usual talk about how much he enjoys the story he's the star of, but he also noted that the next season will introduce a number of characters new to the series:

Will these new characters join the likes of Ahsoka Tano and Cad Bane by having previously appeared in animated shows, now making a big jump for a live-action debut? Are some coming from other source material, such as Cobb Vanth from the Aftermath books, or Black Krrsantan from the pages of Marvel Comics? How many of the new characters are original to The Mandalorian? We clearly aren't going to get any answers from Pascal at this point in time, so for now, all we can do is irresponsibly speculate.

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are available to stream on Disney Plus, while the third season is in development. It is not known if the third season will be finished in time for the end of 2022, or if it will begin streaming in 2023. In the meantime, you can whet your appetite for more adventures of Mando and Grogu and their buddies Boba Fett and Fennec Shand in The Book of Boba Fett, all episodes of which are now streaming.
