There won't be much complaining after the next two episodes.

They'll be too busy cleaning out their underwear.

    Whatever the story demands.

There are creatures in our own world, deep-sea fish and the like, who spend decades as sexually immature "youths" before blossoming into reproductary males for a season, and then they evolve into their final stage, as reproductary females, in which they stay for a few decades more. So yeah... Star Wars can handle "Yoda" being a toddler at 50, no problem!

Yeah this music was certainly different. At times I felt it fit well, at times it was just strange.

Agree with you on the Easter Eggs...let's not overdo it.

Definitely a more mature theme, but not to the extent of Rogue One. The violence could be a problem for younger children.

I've been listening to the music since Tuesday and it has really grown on me. It's still strange, but in a good way. ;) I guess each episode will have a little bit different music to add.

When I rewatched the last scene where they were holding Babyoda, with the wholesale massacre...yikes. But then I've been watching Clone Wars again too, and it hit home how violence is not new to Star Wars productions. I guess it's partially in the way it's handled by the characters themselves and how blood there is, and how much the camera lingers... Fortunately I don't have really young children to worry about now, so I can just worry about my own eyes!

    Regarding the violence...

I watched as a kid, and so have my kids, A New Hope.

    Uncle Ben and Aunt Beru.
Burnt to a crisp at holocaust quality graphic. Right in your face.

    Good point.

All this worry about violence in SW, and they forget Own and Beru burnt to a crisp. Violence in SW is intrinsic, its part of SW: lightsaber duels, death stars, X-wings, dog fights and more. SW without conflict and violence we be boring episodes of The Office.

“All this worry about violence in SW, and they forget Own and Beru burnt to a crisp. Violence in SW is intrinsic, its part of SW: lightsaber duels, death stars, X-wings, dog fights, explosions, and more. SW without conflict and violence would be boring episodes of The Office.” (Me).

As for younger children, most children are now watching horroresque shows like “Stranger Things” and sneaking to watch “Game of Thrones” and other mature content. There is no panban of mature themes and violence that will work to keep kids from watching mature movies and shows; in fact prohibition would only make it more alluring.

Parents can only do so much; make it clear in their house what the rules are, but kids will go to a friend’s house and watch the forbidden manna.

I went to “Alien Vs. Predator Requiem,” which is R Rated and the most morose, gross, and violent nightmarish installment in Predator and Alien franchises. It even has a Predalien enter a baby ward to.. lets just say it disturbed me and almost everyone I know who saw it. Well sitting in next seat was a father and his son on the opposite side who was 5-7yrs of age.

Yep- standard review; loved it, minimal nitpicks- if any, -hoping for more of the same awesomeness in the future.
Beautiful stuff. The artwork shown at the closing credits was icing on the cake.

One thing - an oddly specific, nuanced moment I had noticed, that I haven’t seen anyone else point out as of yet—

—At *just* about the 10 minute mark of this first episode, -directly after the on-ship carbon freeze of (the?) Mythrol scene, and as the ship moves into the atmosphere of *whichever* planet... we hear the music (brass) that may sound somewhat familiar... it reminded me of Fantasia... (the tune I was thinking of was the brass that kicks-in shortly into the beginning of ‘Night on Bald Mountain’.)
It’s not precisely “the same”, but it’s unmistakably quite *similar*. Certainly not something that is hugely profound, but I thought I’d mention it in case anyone else caught it, and thought it was a fun, little curiousity.

EDIT: I'm in love with the drums on this show.

Yeah, honestly, the moment both of my girls cried over, and one refuses to rewatch because it hurts too much, is TFA's Han Solo death.

    Crispy bodies?
    *eating popcorn*

Imply killing a bunch of children?
    *eating popcorn*

    Mutilate the flesh of Anakin?
    *eating popcorn*

Son stabs Dad, who happens to have been making them laugh for years?
*jaws drop, wailing, crying, wanting to stop watching*

This show was chump change to them.
They were actually yelling, "Grab the big laser!"

    Cheers,
    Jayson

“It’s so beautiful!” In a tragic way.

Han looks like “I know I told George I wanted Han to die in ESB, but I’m suprised JJ is killing me off this early..”

I am acting very Sithy tonight :D:

I love the music, that clanging theme with a little bit of Banaza theme (altered) is awesome!
