    I voted for amazing!!

The only point I wasn't completly receptive in the beginning was that blue alien. But after a couple of minutes I must say it didn't bothered me at all and the story blew my mind.

Not because is SW. I think is an excellent Pilot for a tv-show, cause the characters, situations and environments are very well presented. And a lot of pilots lack of this. This is how a Pilot works!!

Brilliant how tailers avoided the 2 WTF moments! My god!!

The tempo, the visuals, the camera, the cinematography, the mood, the story... all are really competent and excellent.

There are some really cool and super interesting story lines.

The music is sublim! Love it!

And the final credits!! OMG! What a credits with that music and those illustrations!! Perfect!!

I have spoken. My god! Love Nolte's character! Love the line!!

    Can't wait to see more!!

Such a smart move to release episodes individually. It will stir up so much more conversation and interest. I'd much rather spend the next few weeks discussing what might happen next than to binge it all and talk about liking it or not for a few days before people start looking for something else to consume.

Does the Mandalorian clip the babies ears to hide his appearance and dye his skin white and run him through a taffy pull this season? Because if he does....BABY YODA IS SNOKE

Just watched it...thoroughly enjoyed it and voted for amazing. I must say it didn't blow me away but it has that lovely OT feel + it's more or less a western in space in the Star Wars universe. Visually, it's stunning and the score is also absolutely amazing. What's not to love? I have a feeling it might be a bit hit and miss with younger generations though!
Looking forward to the next episode already :)

Could be that the Emperor saw they would be a great threat if they joined the Rebellion and Order 66'd 'em.

    Absolutely!
I love watching a show once a week. Life in this world sometimes is boring and mediocre so when arrives the day of a good show, life (and that day in particular) is more exciting lol

We have a week to discuss an episode (less with the second episode). With all show aired would not be fun.

I know that there has long been speculation that Yoda's species are the Whills- has that been thoroughly debunked, or is it possible still?

This emphasis on them now... it's really something.

I loved it, Great job Filoni!
    Reasons why:
    1) Lots of Mandalorians
    2) Yodita, Babyoda, What are we calling it?
    3) Horatio Sanz was good comic relief as the bounty
    4) The Mandalorian was more friendly than I expected
    5) The music was fun
    6) Wild Bunch references – specifically the mini-gun slaughter, great!

    My questions
Is this the first ever seen Star Wars toilet/ evac-tube?
Do we know what planets any of these places are?
If Yoda was 900 (maybe 90ish for a human) wouldn't you expect a 50 year old baby to be more like 5 years old not like 5 months old. I hope they explain this a little more.
My only criticism is, doesn't this seem like a retread of the first clone wars episode with Rotta the Huttlet?

Oh, also, I really like the idea that Yoda's species might age at a simply slower pace, rather than maturing at the same pace as humans and just being really old for a long time.

    Pretty fascinating.

I would like to watch episode 1 of the Mandalorian. What is the average price of signing up for Disney+? My coffers are limited.

This was my feeling exactly. I thought it was a bit short (39 minutes???? Come on Disney, it won't kill ya to give us closer to 50 minutes). I LOVED the look. It really felt and LOOKED like Star Wars.

@DailyPlunge I have to admit, I can't remember hearing the music. I guess that's because 1. it was like 5:30 AM when I watched it and 2. I was just trying to take it all in. I'll have to listen to it again

The idea of a 50 year old baby who is of the same species as Yoda is what has me intrigued. I just checked out the timeline on wookiepedia (cannon version). If this is 5 years after the Return of the Jedi, then that means this baby Yoda (simply calling it that for ease of reference right now) was born in 41BBY. Guess who else was born in 41BBY? If you guessed Anakin, you guessed correctly.

So, stay with me. Snoke said powerful light arose to combat powerful darkness. Could this little one have been created by the Whills? Perhaps as a counter to the possibility that Anakin would fall? Or to balance out something that was coming? I know I'm grasping here, but I'm at work and should be working but why work when I can talk about Star Wars? LMAO

$6.99/month. About 1/2 of what Netflix will run ya.

The Trade Federation must have went with the lowest bidder, because if they had a squad of IG droids instead of the battle droids, their occupation of Naboo would have went a lot differently.

I have to say it's a pretty darn good deal. They have a ton of the classic Disney films like Snow White (cant' wait to watch it tonight!). Plus a ton of Pixar films, etc... I love me some Netflix, but man for the price, this is really hard to beat.

I love this theory except that fact that the Whills have a bad sense of humor since Anakin would be long dead before this little guy had a chance to mature. He'd be 75 by the time of the sequel trilogy and based on how they age he'd still just be a kid I guess? We're gonna need a dog years conversion chart for this species.
