I thought Mando was going to confront a Krayt Dragon and take its egg like in KOTOR, but then the Wooley Rhinoth appeared.

Four stars from me. The only reason it's not five is because I wish it was a little longer and advanced the overall plot a little more. But I do love the adventure serial vibe, it's perfectly classic Star Wars/Flash Gordon/all that good stuff.

No other critiques. The visuals are on par if not even better than the films, my favorite SW cinematography since Rogue One.

    and

I know not everybody wanted the Force to play a role in this show, but I'm so glad it does. To me, it's not Star Wars if you don't have some magic mixed in with the scum and villainy.

also, we finally get to see disintegrations! So THAT'S what Vader was talking about

How many years have we waited to see a disintegration? Since empire '82? That was really awesome.
Then we get jawas. You can never get more star wars than jawas. A jawa sandcrawler........... cockpit.........for lack of a better word, and a jawa sandcrawler action sequence? I mean wow. The force sensitive yoda baby. I just knew they we're going to hold off from revealing that one. This show has, in two episodes allowed me to finally witness elements from the first trilogy that we're never shown on screen or either never explored and it's incredible. (boba fett)(yoda 2)

4 Stars for me. I'm sure everybody wants to know
how a baby could be so powerful. I mean it was using the force for a couple of seconds, but still... it was a huge beast. I guess when Yoda said "size matters not" he was being literal. A baby might even have less inhibitions to overcome when it comes to concepts like size. It also rhymes nicely with how in the real world babies can swim when they are little and later have to learn it again

It could be lots of things. Just as certain people have an innate Force ability, maybe certain species are predisposed to having a connection to the Force. Also, since we know Force abilities are often inherited, maybe this is a relative of Yoda.

I've seen kids do amazing things. Sure, some of it is an amount of practice, but there's also something to be said for having a gift for something.

I think of it sort of like sports. An athlete can improve their skills through repetition and conditioning, but some people are just born with a natural talent.

<sarcasm>How could baby be so powerful when it wasn't trained?</sarcasm>

All right, that was awesome. The adventure & western vibe, the action, the music which I liked even more than in the first episode especially while Mando is leaving the planet . And baby Yoda was even cuter and, expectedly, is Force sensitive. Javas were always and remain the little $hits. :D

Four from me. It just needed something little extra - maybe more Mando-baby interaction - to reach the best score.

Hmmm...have a strange hankering for eggs for breakfast, sunny-side up... :p

So we all know the Mando is not going to turn Babyoda in for the reward, right? Right? RIGHT?

Isn't anyone else worried that Babyoda was passed out all that time not from using the Force but from eating a poisonous lizard? Who is changing its Babyoda diaper? Am I the only parent here? :p ("I think it's a child." :D:D:D:D:D Oh Mando. You're adorable.)

Interesting insight into Jawa technology. Also Jawa laughter is kinda cute. But Jawa disintegrations are kinda cool too. ;)

Always lock your vehicle, friends. #LifeLessonsFromDisney

I am now 100% sold on this show. Why? I love the Mando. Sure, he's the tough, strong, silent type, and he's a badass. But he also has some great flaws and weaknesses. We see him fail...and we see him pick himself up, and even listen to wiser counsel. We've seen him care for the less fortunate among his people. And we all know he's got a soft spot for the Babyoda.

I can't wait to see where this goes!

The episodes could be 8 hours long i would not care. So i am taking it that from birth they can use the force. If this show keeps up with this pace i will totally pleased.

Yeah, maybe it was trained... It's 50 yrs old. Is that old enough to have witnessed the pre-empire republic? It might also have been trained during the empire phase in secret. Or what other possibillity are you alluding to? Yoda relative or innate force-connection of Yoda-species?

I admit I was hoping for a Krayt Dragon too. I just wasn't sure it was Tatooine. Jawas seem to be everywhere in the GFFA!

Applying the usual Rogue One logic of "They all have to die because we don't see them in the OT, does that mean Mini-Me has to either die or be in Tros?

Not like there needs to be an explanation since Rey.

Yep, also for arts (music, drawing, writing...) and learning, some pupils have more facilities than others to learn their lessons.

    Me too...
.... even if I've not seen it yet.

Too early to tell. It might be in exile...or might be one of Luke's students.... or there is no overarching narrative and we're not supposed to make connections. Though with Filoni involved I doubt there is no intent. Mini Yoda just might return to home planet of species and not partake. There might be parents looking for him/her and we will witness Yoda species homeworld.

No. Ahsoka didn't die. Nor did Ezra or Thrawn. They also haven't shown up in live-action (yet?).
