Looks like this episode was on Arvala-7 based on Kuiil's entry in the databank.
I do hope that as we go forward this show just isn't copies of Bobba Fett, IG-88, Tatooine, and Yoda. It's early yet, but this is leaning heavy on nostalgia.

Yes, that's what I got from it--Babyoda wanted to heal him with the Force.

For the first time since the lead up to the phantom menace, I’m truly and without cynicism, excited for Star Wars again.

From the jawa sequence to the first ten minutes with literally no dialogue, just action to tell the story, this episode brought back Star Wars for me.

So watched it last night and loved it, but only 3 stars because of the length. I know that it had 1 thing to tell us and 2 things 2 do. It just seems so short, almost like the 1st 2 episodes should have been combined or really that the episodes are going to be closer to 30 minutes then 60 minutes.

    1. Thing to tell us us that Baby Yoda is force sensitive
    2. Things to do is 1 and get off the planet

Also can we call Baby Yoda Baby Sue. I mean after all where was his training montage. Ok just busting peoples chops.

Not sure if asked yet. Do Jawas travel the galaxy?

Gotta be tracking Gizmo, IMO. One of the baddies goes for the crib with an axe in the ambush. If Mando was the target, there would be no reason to try to off a baby at that moment.

    Two questions:

    1. Are Jawas everywhere in SW, or only on specific planets? (never mind, I see others posed the same question)
    2. What's the deal with the electrical aspect of Mandalorian armor? (discussed before somewhere?) (ok that's three questions)

Yeah, he’s definitely got wires under/in that armor (you can see them when he gets the new pauldron in ep.1). So when he gets all buzzed up with the blue sparks like when the Jawas shot him, is that his armor wires getting fried, or him? Or both? :p

Feloni is has been involved in everything so far, Kathleen Kennedy said “There isn’t a thing that we do in the storytelling space that I don’t check with Dave,”. Its all part of the one big story.
The big blockbuster sequels wouldn't have been much different storyline wise whoever was at the helm, and I'm pretty sure we've only had 2 so far, unless you've already written TROS off before watching it?

Metal absorbs the blast, circuits diffuse the energy.

This is my biggest worry. It's a fine show but it hasn't really set itself up yet for me.

So far I have been pleased with the show. The Mandalorian appears to be developing into a complex character. Former orphan who ends up with a bounty that appears to be an orphan which will test his loyalties. The “baby Yoda” is cool and cute all at the same time. Each episode leaves me wondering what is going ROS happen and what are we going to learn next. As far as the score, I like it. It definitely does not have a SW feel but that is ok. The score does have an old time Western feel which is what the show is trying to portray.

As far as this episode, I think “baby Yoda” was attempting to heal the Mandalorian.
if leaks are correct we will also see this power in TROS with Rey

I think the Trandsosians are after “baby Yoda”. It appears that multiple bounty hunters have been commissioned to find him.

To me it appears that The Being is subject to two separate bounties: one who wants it alive and one who wants it dead. Or, for some reason both bounties could be coming from Werner Herzog. Both IG-11 and the one Trandoshan tried to kill it.

And, perhaps things are so dire for bounty hunters in general that they're willing to steal bounties. Yes, I'm sure the Trandoshans that showed up were the same ones from Chapter One.

Also, can everyone in the Star Wars galaxy be tracked? That's kind of the vibe I'm getting from the show.

I'm surprised no one asked this. The Mando seemed unaware of the Force. Which makes sense because Order 66, fall of the Republic etc...

However with the fall of Mandalore did their history get lost as well? There was a GREAT WAR between the Mandalorians and the Jedi so I thought the Force even in it being rare in that time would not be something a Mando was "unaware" of....I'm interested to see how that is approached by way of explanation.

Also there was never any doubt (to me) the Yodling was force sensitive. Some creatures are predisposed to the Force and it was always rumored (through Lucas) Yoda's species was one. People from Mace Windu's planet (not sure if that's canon anymore) were supposed to be another because they were descendants of a jedi spaceship that crash landed there.

Also the little guy was definitely trying to heal the Mando
