The tracking knob seems to be short range, maybe below 100km. Do you ask yourself how did the client knew baby yoda location? The Empire was using several listening stations, something like our spy satellites, to intercept radio comms. It is possible that the client has access to one of them and to use it for long range tracking. Listening outposts are secret bases not directly involved in fighting, it is highly possible that most of them survived the war and are still operational.

I really like the western feeling of the series and this scene when all tracking knobs activated at the same time. You can feel the hate of the bounty hunters and the rage to catch the prey.

 

The client was not present when Mando stormed the compound, so he is the one behind re-activation of the knobs. We still have to see what he has in his sleeves and pockets

I agree, he acts more like 1-2 years old, not really matching the 5 years age estimation. Maybe the great powers grow slowly

Very good scene, much of an action scene you would not expect to see in Star Wars ( not to mention Disney ). The scene is very short, so probably budget cutting, but is very intense and well setup. Give a good representation of mandalorian capabilities in battle. I wrote on anther post my thoughts about the battle tactics in this scene.

Nope. I assume baby yoda had a tracking device installed, something like GPS tracker in Star Wars terms, or size wise maybe like a RFID tag. Maybe we will see in next episode Mando removing the device. Star Wars tech magic works in much different way then our tech, but its purpose is the same. Luke had no such thing on him. BTW Vader payed a lot to best bounty hunters available at this time to catch Luke, Han and the millennium falcon. First 60k credits and after BBY 10M credits!

i was thinking about this over the weekend.

we will for sure - i have no doubt about that at all, but it's the circumstances of why he would take it off that's got me thinking.

the obvious answer is for love. perhaps there will be someone he falls for (or perhaps he already has someone tucked away somewhere).

what would really get the tears going for me.. if he took it off for baby yoda. I've gone a bit emo at the thought of such a scene lol

Baby Yoda will want to become a Mandalorian bounty hunter too like Leon: The Professional, but not wanting that life for him, the Mandalorian will drop baby Yoda off at a Jedi temple with a peace lily.

I'm thinking there are other Jedi temples similar to Ahch-To with caretakers that could raise baby Yoda.

I suppose there is a slim chance Ezra and Ahsoka have started a new Jedi temple in the unknown regions. I'd love to see a cameo of them in live action, but not sure how others would feel about that.

 

I am expecting/ hoping to see both Sabine and Ahsoka in this series. Disney controls their message pretty tightly. This season ends and then Clone Wars Season 7 starts a month later which will tell us about the Siege of Mandalore.
I'm hoping for Anakin or Ahsoka to be the one that save the young "Mando" from the battle droid.

 

With Filoni involved, I have a feeling we will at least hear about what happened after Sabine helped Bo Katan took control of Mandalore, although I doubt we see them. Lucasfilm has always this thing about characters who aren't droids or ships crossing over media. There's a rumor going around that Doctor Aphra is getting a show, so maybe that's changing?

 

I would love to see the adult Ahsoka in a live-action movie.

Sure enough, they have to create a new female character as Rey will be finished after the Rise of Skywalker.

 

Is it Friday yet?!

Saw Gerrera is the only animated character I can think of to appear in live action, unless you count the animatronic Hondo Ohnaka in Galaxy's Edge. (or Chopper and the Ghost in Rogue One)

I'd love to see any of the animated series characters make an appearance, especially Ahsoka, but I have a feeling we will get an all new animated series on Disney+ that has to do with what happened to Ezra.

I'd love Doctor Aphra in animation or live action. She is one of my favorite characters along with Triple Zero and Bee Tee.

Well, the penultimate episode will be released on Wednesday so as not to conflict with the release of The Rise of Skywalker, so that will be a shorter week. Then again, that just means there will be a nine-day stretch waiting for the finale. The horror! At least we will have TRoS to occupy us.

 

The costume is slowly building up.

Something I have been speculating about. If Palpatine transferred his essence to something (Vader mask) and imperials no it and he needs to somehow use the force in force sensitive people to regain physical human form. Could end of season (week after TROS release) end on a downer with Mando losing Tiny to the remains of the empire?

 

Another thing I found interesting: He identified the child as an "enemy" to the Armorer. Do you think it has a deeper meaning? Maybe all who are are not Mandalorian are enemies now?

 

I imagine there's a whole bunch of "casual" [not us] who think that's Boba under the mask.
