That ending had a slight cheese to it, but it was just enough to be fun and I wouldn't have it any other way. I thought in the second episode that they couldn't get any better, but this one proved me wrong. Right here is where I lost it though. Not the only time I got emotional. He seemed betrayed or scared or both. When he cried out.

I'm thinking he is like a 4 or 5 year old human and takes care of that himself. LOL I've thought about it way too much myself.

 

I agree that the ending (with all the Mandos and jetpacks) was cheesy. But good Star Wars cheesy.

That moment is when my daughter jumped up and declared her intention to murder the Mando.

I keep wondering what he had been eating/who had been feeding him when he was in the compound where the Mando found him. (And BTW we finally found out he was a male from Dr. Pershing, who seems like he ought to know!)

 

I was wrong in my prediction as to how soon he would have his change of mind, and am glad I was.

The action building from the time he decided to go back for the yodaling was the most bada$$ SW thing I have seen, because it felt "real" in a way that the other big action scenes often don't.

Just when it was about to be over for him, the cavalry arrived. I loved it.

I could have lived without the Iron Man salute at the end, but whatever.

My next prediction is that he is indeed "The Mando" and them relocating to another safe haven to start rebuilding is the genesis of something much larger.

It's a great storytelling move to have the redemption start not only with an innocent, but that this innocent happens to be Force sensitive. It is "The will of the Force" that sets everything in motion.

 

Oh felt so John Wick when all the trackers started going off. Although up to that point trackers seemed to be tied to specific bounties and now all of a sudden they are all tied to 1 person.

Oh also if I recall correctly from some trailers/tv spots and photos released he had more beskar armor pieces then he had in Ep1 and Ep2, but less then Ep3. So wondering if he has to start paying others for help using pieces of beskar armor as payment.

 

Yeah If they age at 10% the rate of humans like Yoda was 900=90 human years when he died. Then the little guy is about 5.

 

I will throw out something I said once before. What if Tiny/Yoda/Yaddle species start in an larval/cocoon like stage and has only somewhat recently hatched/emerged. Because he seems to be acting more like a 2-3 year old then a 5 year old.

Grief Carga did say they all had trackers for Babyoda but the Mando was the only one who succeeded. Presumably the trackers were all still active...?

 

Ahh so you are saying they were Tiny trackers not Mando. That makes sense.

 

Such a great post!

When I read a lot of the criticisms here (across the Cantina, not Mando specific) it’s like a lot of people evaluate everything as if they are a film student or literature PhD. Just chill, enjoy the show, and understand some things are there just to make a kid smile or laugh! Except Jar Jar. Nothing makes him acceptable!

 

I’ll be showing this to my daughter tonight... I’ll find out if my daughter is as cool as yours.

Hint: based on your daughters reaction, the best my daughter can do is tie!

 

Hmmmm, so if I had enough beskar could I hire a bounty hunter to find Luke for me using a tracking fob? I’m not trying to start a ST bash session, just an observation.

interesting to see the evolution of Mando culture from Rebels to here, man the empire did them dirty...

I love the stormtroopers in this show, they look gaunt not just their armor is dirty but they are also kinda scraggly.
I’m rewatching now but did anyone else think the stormtrooper that The Mando roasted with his flame thrower wasn’t a human?

 

Like I'd guessed after E1, the Mando has a bounty on him now.

Wonder who, if any, of these bounty hunters we'll see? Surely at least one will show up, right?

Could IG-11 have just been a tease for 88's appearance after all? The Trandoshans just the prelude to Bossk? We've seen a couple Kyuzo so far, laying the groundwork for Embo...

Oof, I really like this show.

 

There have to be other Jedi temples with caretakers other than Ahch-To. Maybe baby Yoda gets dropped off at one of those?

I'm still trying to figure out if the tracking is based on some kind of biological factor, sort of like DNA tracking or something. If so, maybe they wouldn't have any way to track Luke with that kind of tech. Or maybe he was able to block it with the Force or something initially. I can think of lots of Star Warsy reasons.
