There are just 4 episodes left. I don't think that they have enough time to develop all your plots. What you wrote sounds and looks interesting, also the other few posts before where people hope for more interesting scenario with interlocking stories, unfortunately my expectation is that this will end pretty shallow.

The story-line so far is quite inconsistent, he left behind equipment and cargo on Arvala-7, didn't removed the tracker, din't use the guns of Razor Crest, left Cara Dune on Sorgan, didn't took the guns and missiles from fallen At-ST ...

Not sure I buy this. It's clear to me that the Mando thinks the Guild is after him. Whether he's swept the Razor Crest for trackers or not, he likely thinks he can manage the threat. However, what he didn't count on was that baby Yoda might still be in danger.

In the first three episodes, there was an open job targeting baby Yoda that the Mando made good on-- he delivered the asset and got paid. Job closed. The climax of E3 suggested to me that the Mando had become the target of the next job, with the entire Bounty Hunters' Guild hunting him now because he broke their code. Baby Yoda is no longer safe with him, thus his scheme to leave him behind at that settlement. However, the end of E4 shows baby Yoda in peril again, suggesting he's the target of a new job, making it clear that it's no longer safe to leave baby Yoda behind anywhere. Mando and baby Yoda are kinda stuck with each other now.

I’m pretty sure “Baby Yoda” has been the target the entire time. In Chapter 3 Greef makes it pretty clear that they are after “Baby Yoda”. In Chapter 4 Mando tells Cara they are after “Baby Yoda”.

I'll have to rewatch with that in mind. My impression of E3 was formed by dialogue from the Armorer: "When one chooses to walk the way of the Mandalore, you are both hunter and prey." We see that play out in that very episode, with the Guild telling the Mando to put the baby aside because their business was with the Mando, not the baby.

But I acknowledge that when you lock onto an interpretation of a narrative, the pieces that don't fit sometimes fail to register as they should. I now have a reason to revisit those episodes. (Like I needed a reason!)

"The last four episodes are our only hope."

    "No, there is another...season."

Not saying we need another season for it to be good, because several storylines and character arcs can all be resolved within a single episode, and I expect that is the epic finale they are building to. But I also expect seeds to be planted for the second season. They are laying a solid foundation for something great.

I think this is a masterful series, a truly worthy addition to Star Wars canon. We are fortunate to get a series of this high quality. I think they swung for the fences and knocked it out of the park. I plan on many enjoyable rewatches.

I especially love that while it is separate from the main saga, it still has definite potential impact to everything else. I can't wait to see where they are going with it.

Oh yeah, -for sure. We’ll see ALL the introduced, secondary characters- (Kuiil, Cara Dune, Pershing, “The Client”, Greef Carga, etc) -again, to be certain. -I’d bet the mortgage on it. (Maybe not IG-11, but certainly a droid of similar-same function/appearance.)

-Has anyone discussed this particular portrayal of Klatooinians as a kind of “space-orc”?

-Also, I know a Jurassic Park vibe was mentioned... I felt this every time they framed/composed the tree line for “something large” to emerge from it.

-And, because I enjoying seeing other’s declare their preferences, ... presenting my own ‘TM Episode’ personal-enjoyment order (so far):

    2, 1, 3, 4...

See, S01E02 had it ALL for me. Excluding the rodeo scene, it was probably of my top five Star Wars “things” ever. Absolutely perfect...(for me).

Anyways, I’m really enjoying this show.

The Mandalorian and baby Yoda make a good team. I’m super curious where the season goes from here and in future seasons.

the latest episode was a nice slow pace, I enjoyed more dialogue and some background for some of the characters. Hopefully we get to see more of Cara Dunes character.

From the camera angle that they showed us. Those kids wouldn't be able to see him. They would just see a shadowy figure with no details. Same principle when you leave a bright outside to go indoors to a dark room.

Well, she is a MMA fighter.

I'll admit, her acting in this episode has gotten better than her acting in Deadpool and Fast and the Furious 6.

I agree. She's gotten hotter once she moved away from MMA.

Currently lost my Mando mood. Episodes I-III felt like “The Man with No Name Trilogy,” and had that old bad$$ swager. Episode 4 felt like it belonged on Disney XD and as some have mentioned, a Stargate episode.

I am gonna be brutally honest.. It was refreshing to have the old world male warrior who can kick butt and blow bad guys away like Clint Eastwood and The Duke. Having Cara Dune be able to take Mando down (even if its a semi-draw, she got the drop on him) was depressing. The ST already has a powerful female lead, Rey, and I had hoped Mando would be a old timey Western with the male antihero or hero saving the day. Alas.. they could not leave well enough alone.

    Here come the dislikes.. sigh.

You don't hire an MMA fighter not to be in a powerful enforcer role. Not like she's small boned compare to the other female leads. At least she was believable. You could tell from her promo pictures that she wss going to be a soldier/fighter type of role which assumes she can handle herself.

I'm pretty sure gina carano could take on majority of the members on here (including me)...lol

I have no problem with Cara Dune (Gina), its that they felt it necessary to have her take Mando down. I want Equality, not to take down male or female a notch to accomplish it. I am sure her MMA prowess is something to behold; I just wish we could have kept Mando as a Duke or Eastwood old eorld bada$$.

The Mandalorian being taken down by Cara Dune doesn’t make him any less of a bad arse.

That sounds boring to be honest, he still is a bad@ss. Shes a former rebels fighter. She wasn't some random buttercup. There's always someone better than you out there. I don't want to see a one-dimensional Terminator Mando.

both John Wayne and Clint Eastwood got their asses kicked in any number of movies.
people don't even remember that; "old world badass" is selective-memory mythology.
the important detail is that they get up again. and Mando did that.

Plus, the fight was more of a draw (sorry about the pun) then any one side winning. It was to show both were capable warriors that could lead the tribe to takedown the Bandits.

I think we have to be honest, first to yourself, then to to the other. If there is something we like we have to say it loud, and the same loud also if there is something we don't like. That's why I support your post. I have nothing against the character of Gina Carano, I already wrote that I like her play. Having interaction with strong female character makes the movie more interesting. Have you noticed that he was the leading force of this duo. He has taken the job, he made the plan with her help of course. If there is something I don't like is the overall story line in episode 4, the sudden piece-fullness and easy going, and the obvious gaps in the script. Disney/Lucasfilm have to work harder on that franchise if they ever want to earn they money. Nobody benefits from a silly script and an obvious push-up of green toy merchandise. That's not a movie for child auditory, so the baby yoda thing comes also a bit too much.

I will probably give it another chance until next episode. If that continues good luck the mandalorian.

Well said. There are elements I loved about Episode 4. Particularly the AT-ST emerging from the tree line like the T-Rex before jeep chase scene. The idea of agrarian planet that is green like Naboo was nice change from the arid and icy climates. I liked the Widow, oh Mando go back to her, what is the difference of standing your ground there with her or running only to have it happen again?

I am sure if Mando married the Widow, and perhaps had her join his Mando religion, she could see his face without breaking his vows.
