I personally agree, and the numbers of viewers speaks volumes...

I wonder if this new "search for the Jedi" mission will also draw in some new villains. After TROS, one theory I have is:

Ochi the Jedi Hunter will be after Baby Yoda. The timing is about right for this villain to be in his prime.

Five years after the Battle of Endor there is no such thing as the Jedi other than leading you straight to Luke Skywalker.

I think it best that is learned fairly and diverted to actually finding the baby's people and/or instilling "the way".

The Jedi is too tight a circle to deal in with this time period. A few days on Coruscant ought to settle the misconception and be an especially fun visit for Prequelist.

Din Mando will probably get information on the child’s home from characters he trust. He doesn’t know the Jedi, he won’t trust them. He’ll most likely stay within the underworld. It seems Favreau is teasing the Hutts with his latest post.

I am really ok and fascinated with Mandalorian explaining a different story and exploring new things but at the same time is exciting and all makes sense when there are plausible connections with the well-known SW universe. And the story has left this season 1 with the Force, McLunkey race, reminiscents of the Empire and the dark saber, there is plenty space to see (as some people already said) Maz, Ochi The Jedi Hunter and his ship, Luke, Solo, Resistance...
The connections make Star Wars cool too.

Okay what does "demand" actually mean? Like I "demand" to watch The Mandalorian?

    Now TROS has been released
we clearly see in the movie young Luke training young Leia in the Jedi ways. We are now sure (we were teased until now, we were expecting, but it had never been shown) she had been trained and she built her own lightsaber, and she also managed to train Rey

What a pity when one thinks Disney decided to private the larger part of the world of this treasure.

Otherway, that chapter 8 was delightful, but I must confess two little disapointments, now this season 1 is finished.

    1. I was spoiled, and teased, with an enigmatic "lightsaber" that could show up, and some rumors were speculating that Mister Obi Wan Kenobi himself could appear during the flashbacks, to save the little boy. Time was suspended when those flashbacks were playing, I was holding my breath, expecting
to see Ewan McGregor popping up at every moment... and it didn't :( (but yes, we got another lightsaber and this one was totally unexpected)

    2. I also was teased with a pic of Sabine Wren's helmet. I was about to see her, in the same flashback, when little Mando is saved by the Mandalorian unit. She didn't show up. :(

    Next season, Jon ? ;)

Waiting and speculating about the next season is going to be hard. The episode was really good. Instead Din having his warrior's death, IG-11 got his.

-After watching the Clone Wars, you can see the "fighting-style" similarities of the Clone Wars Death Watch Mando's from the very first scene of the Mandalorian in the bar. Then again, it could be all Mandalorian's fighters are trained as such. Whistling bird, Rising phoenix seem to be different training forms. What is the Fighting Corps? What is the Creed? Hopefully will explored with next Clone Wars season.
-Gideon clearly says the "Siege of mandalore" in association with the "Night of 1000 Tears". Another reference to the upcoming Clone Wars season. Who is responsible for that massacre? Did Gideon fight in the Siege himself?
-Din has been with the Mandalorians since the Clone Wars, yet he has no clan? Odd, maybe the Creed will explain it.

    Must. Have. More.

I think its time for a new Hutt. Jabba left a big hole, a really big story hole. Tatooine kinda needs a new stabilizer. Someone to take over before Lady WhatsHerFace thinks she's big enough and tough enough.

And a believable new Hutt would leave a giant hole in the show's budget. I still can't believe they even did the original Jabba (and eff that digital hoo-ha version in special edition ANH and TPM). I would love, love, love a new Hutt done with the care put into the original (those eyes!!!) but I doubt that's on the table.

I have so many questions, and I know we will just have to wait and see, but...so many questions! So much excitement!! O________O
I am currently glued to the twitter accounts of Filoni & co, waiting for someone to drop a hint. (Did everyone catch the latest Ahsoka hint after ROS came out?) :D

    Anyway, some thoughts...
    • Which faction of Death Watch rescued Din? Pre Vizsla's Death Watch or Bo-Katan's Night Owls?
I've been scouring Google, comparing the Death Watch soldiers in The Mandalorian to those in TCW and Rebels. I see some similarities between both Vizsla's clan and Bo-Katan's, insofar as the amor design/color palette goes. I'm thinking Din was rescued by Vizsla's Death Watch. Because Bo-Katan created the Night Owl's after Maul took over (IIRC). And if the "enemy" in Din's childhood memories were Separatist (droids), then this solidifies the idea that he was a foundling of Vizsla's Death Watch.

    • "The Tribe" in the Mandalorian series seems like a seriously ragtag bunch, which I love!
We have Paz Vizsla who is obviously somehow connected to Pre Vizsla, I mean...hullo...both were voiced by Jon Favreau.
The Amorer with her red color palette and ornamental horns on her helmet could potentially have been a Maul loyalist.
Then there's the Boba Fett fanboy, doing a heckin' good Boba cosplay.

    • Are force users Ancient History, or...?
In Episode 8, the Armorer tells Din & co. of some ancient tales about sorcerers who move things with their minds or some such. This had me throwing a few side glances because...well...lots of reasons. Namely:

Reason 1: Maul , a force user, took over Mandalore...the same Mandalore that Death Watch is from...the same Death Watch that rescued Din.
Reason 2: The Jedi , force users, helped to remove Maul from Power.

Both of these events transpired at the tail end of The Clone Wars, when Din became a Death Watch foundling. Din may not be from Mandalore, but Death Watch was.

Reason 3: Tarre Vizsla and the Darksaber are pretty significant parts of Mandalorian history...and the Darksaber, (created by a Mandalorian force user) had a recent resurgence during The Clone Wars right around the time that Din became a foundling.

So, c'mon people. I don't care what rock you've been under for the past two decades, you should know basic sheeeeeeit about the history of your clan, especially if you became a foundling of Death Watch! :D
    • Katee Sackhoff apparently has a NDA with Disney, and, well...she is (the voice of) Bo-Katan.

    • Where is my girl, Sabine!? I know...there hasn't been any indication that she will show up, but all my crossables are crossed!

    • Interesting that Moff Gideon drops some dialogue about the Siege of Mandalore in the last episode of The Mandalorian...just a few months before The Clone Wars season 7 airs. And season 7 is literally about the events leading up to the Siege of Mandalore. :D

Also interesting...Gideon couldn't have taken the Darksaber during the siege, because Bo-Katan takes posession of it during Rebels, sometime between 5-0BBY. And before that, Maul had left it on Dathomir. So how the heck did he get it?

    Okay, end rambling. :D

Well, he was ISB during the Purge that happened after Mandos under Bo-Katan rebelled against the Empire. Whether she was killed or not, that was his best opportunity.

going wild here---a rescue of a young Hutt. I've read some great stories about Hutts. My question: surely not all of them are bad guys. Seems to me most of the book was about power grabs. Family power grabs. Something to think about for the future.

Sabine Wren gets the dark saber from the Nightsisters on Dathomir and eventually gives it to Bo-Katan so she can use it as a symbol to unite the Mandalorian people. Some time after that, Mandalore resists Imperial control in what a few characters have referred to as the purge. Gideon must have been involved in the great purge of Mandaore and he got the dark saber then.

My belief is we will see Sabine and possibly ashoka in season 2. Sabine because she and Ashoka know what the dark saber is, they also being mandalorian may be able to point him in a direction of Yoda's home. Now of course the easiest path would be to ask Luke to ask force ghost Yoda where he came from. Not sure they want to bring Luke into the series though.

I am also fairly certain that a mandolorian, even with a baby yoda is getting any where close to luke, hence Sabine. One of the characters mentioned in season one would clearly know Sabine, so they have a chance to add several characters into the plot line they introduced.

If you want to get wild, I'm positive thrawn would know, but that would require finding thrawn and Ezra
