With only 8 or 10 episodes for this season, that isn't a lot of time to have side quests with no payout. If they had like 20 episodes or something for the season, it would be different. I just don't want the plot advance to feel rushed like it did in the first season (which I'm basing my comments on since, season 2 is doing something similar so far). But I hope your right.

The episode is probably one of my least favorite of the show so far but it's not necessarily bad or weak. There were some cool moments with some fun and it's nice that it has some connections to s1's episode 6!

I'm still completely fine with the structure of the show being half serialized and half story focused but can understand the dislike for it by some people and the frustration.

Even with filler episodes like this, the show is my favorite live action star wars since the OT! (I like the PT and ST but to a lesser extent compared to Rogue One and Solo and especially this show)

Another little thing I noticed was The Child / Baby Yoda using the force to get those eggs to come to him. Although I’m not sure if this is deliberate or just he wants those eggs & so he is subconsciously using they force to get them.

Yes, I can understand your disappointment. The first two episodes feel like fillers. Not on the main story-line, side characters, not much happening. This is like postponing the main action, building some pressure, creating expectations which may or may not happen. I guess everyone was expecting to see Boba Fett in this episode, but didn't.

I think they could call those episodes "Monsters" because Mando is cleaning up some monsters in the outer rim. Imagine how many people were killed by Kor Goresh, the Grater Krayt Dragon and by those Kryknas. Well not any more, not any more!

I was somewhat happy tho see again the x-wing pilots :) Dave is making a very successful carrier as a stunt actor ;)

Certainly the principal story-line doesn't move forward like the majority of us would like to see. In season one this sensation appeared in some of the epsiodes (maybe the weakest of the show so far). I will not deny it that some of the adventures are slow and others have some inconsistencies and rushed decisions. And trully understand the "meh" sensation of some viewers. I felt the same in a lot of Rebels chapters. Is like, "ok, where we are going?".

But it's also certain that this is the nature of the show I guess. Is like a tv old serial that gives us a diferent adventure every week. And it's also certain the world building grows in every chapter. And cause is Star Wars, full of old references and amazing visuals, the slow paced story-line maybe doesn't bother so much.

Every chapter is very different from others and the element of surprise maybe is one of the strongest points of the show. Separate missions from the story-line could be not that bad, if they give us some clues of principal story in every chapter. But certainly it has to be done right.

I guess X-files did something like that for instance before with more episodes to explore the characters. A new case every week and in the back ground the biggest story-line.

Favreau has also taken one of the principal Lucas influnences, the old adventure serials, exploring new characters and escenarios every week (something they tried with Indiana Jones Chronicles in a not quite satisfactory results).

If a Mandalorian chapter is slow, it doesn't bother so much cause at the end am excited to watch the surprises that will have the next one. Yes, seasons are short to move forward, that's why the next chapter feels the need to move forward for some viewers.

One more week to discover it. This is the way.

As all writers know, a good tale is told through two stories working in tandem to achieve the overall goal: these are the central story and the framing story.

In Mando season 2, the central story is Mando finding Babyoda's people; this is the way. The framing story is the tale of the post-Empire galaxy and Mando's journey through it. Most episodes are going to lean more towards one of these than the other, but both stories are equally important for the overall experience. The first two episodes of season 2 were predominantly concerned with the framing story -- with Mando's character arc and life in the New Republic -- together with possible set-ups for the central story (Boba Fett hired by Moff Gidean to capture Babyoda, perhaps?). Moreover, the central story is served through the constant threat to Babyoda, and explicitly by Mando's search for other Mandalorians in the first half of Episode 1.

Next episode, with the character arcs and environment (i.e. framing story) re-established, we will probably move more into the central plot, with Frog Lady leading Mando to her husband and his sighted Mandalorians. Furthermore -- unless Mr. & Mrs. Frog are going to stay around for a while (and they do feel more like side characters dropped along the way, but who knows with Star Wars?) -- we'll probably go to the Water Planet next episode, where the central story, through Sasha Banks' mysterious character, will likely pick right up.

Episodes 1 & 2 of this season have explored the framing story perfectly, and now the plot will kick off.

I want a Star Wars buddy cop series with the two NR pilots, lol.

And a really neat touch for Clone Wars fans; Trapper Wolf (played by Filoni) has the Wolfpack (Plo Koon's clone legion) emblem on his pilot helmet - for those who don't know, Plo Koon is Dave's favourite Jedi character :)

I don't think Babyoda is doing anything sinister by eating the frog eggs. He's been eating frogs since Season 1 Episode 4. His species may love frogs as a delicacy. Yoda is a part frog and part pig ( GL did make a joke that Yoda was the love child of Kermit the frog and Miss Piggy (gamorrean) LMFAO) as GL pointed out in Prequel BTS footage. (yoda 2)

I think there is more to it.. Remember Baby's reaction when Mando started to kill and desintegrate people (attackers and Jawa's) in front of him for the first time? He started smiling and cooing!

No, if Baby is used to and even likes people getting pasted, it's not Mando's fault... it happened way before he came into Baby's life! :)

Speaking about details, this on the right is MPH-11 from Solo movie. Considering the time frame this is one of the oldest droids in Star Wars.

It's a long ride from Kessel baby :)

I've been thinking that Moff Gideon can't be running the show if he's not force sensitive. He would have no use for the child. So, why does he care so much? The bounty hunters only care about the money so of course, but Moff? I'm just thinking out loud here.

I gave Chapter 10 a 4 star. So far I've really enjoyed every episode of the Mandalorian. I've always been much more interested in the Star Wars underworld and the rebellion and this is a perfect mix of the two. I'm also loving the TV format and having a weekly release is perfect.

As much as I like the Razor Crest, is it just me or does it seem a little bit too delicate, especially for a bounty hunters ship?

    Just saw it...wow...loved it!

Who thought the "egg chamber" scene looked VERY "Alien"? Who was worried that Babyoda now has a "face hugger" in his stomach? (granted, he ate the thing, but hey, who knows?)

X-Wings!! YESSSSSS. HOWEVER....as an X-Wing fanatic.....when were T-70 X-Wings introduced? Those were T-65's, how long after ROTJ is this taking place, or how soon until TFA? EDIT: The first T-70 prototype was developed in the year 5 ABY.

Finally, as a Star Wars AND a Warhammer fanatic ---- the "spiders".....holy crap definitely TYRANIDS from Warhammer!! @Jack_Forest and @Addi Ras what do you think?

A couple of days after the premiere I think I can upload some of my favorite screenshot (without risking to spoil someone's experience) and my comments of course :)

She was having a hold out blaster, some sort of pepperbox design with 4 barrels. And she knows how to use it! Baby Yoda she saved your bald scalp and you eat her eggs, you little monster!

    Screenshot_2020-11-06_17-56-13.png

    Trapper Wolf

    Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-01-58.png

Wolf with his A280, demonstrating advanced marksmanship. Thumbs up for those pilots!

    Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-16-25.png

Hey, he looks great in this T-65 mock up :)

    Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-16-54.png

Mando and the devastated Razor Crest. Look at the monster legs, this creature is hugeee!

    Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-17-11.png

You are technically under arrest, but these are trying times. Good Cops!

    Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-17-39.png Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-18-02.png

Nice reflection captured on Wolf's helmet. Must be from the X-Wing dash board.

    Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-18-58.png

See those red jet streams on the back of the engines. Nice CGI. These are supposed to be the ion jet exhaust from the engines.

    Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-19-49.png Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-20-08.png

Crest departing from the icy planet. The back ramp is half open, as well as the side door. There is a huge hole on the side. One of the engines is "sparkling". The Crest is a ruin.

    Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-21-01.png

Baby Yoda, you little monster frog eggs eater!!! ( just joking, who cares about the frogs )

    Screenshot_2020-11-07_21-21-30.png

Crest front and side view after departing the planet. Right engine is definitely burning.

    Concept art, so cool!

You see the black spot on the left of Peli Motto? This is supposed to be the blaster bolt mark when Greedo fired on Han Solo :) Traditions!

Me too. Old X-Wings do new jobs :) patrolling the Outer Rim.

On the side of Wolf X-wing is written "rescue" in aurebesh and a yellow arrow. I guess they mimic the jet fighters markings. And it seems that he shot down 7 tie fighters ;)
