Random thought: for SW it was rather... violent? It's one thing having nameless, faceless stormtroopers get shot, but two dudes get straight up excuted and then commits suicide. Then you have the cute juxtaposition of Baby Yoda.

Yep, she really does. If you look in the beauty of the mandalorian thread there are more pics. This episode was really a feast for the eyes of the true fan! I am really really satisfied.

Yes I agree, on average this show is more violent than the movies. I think partially because it is using elements from the Clone Wars, not to mention our co-producer and director ;)

I have also noticed the concept of the faceless stormtroopers which die in numbers and got forgotten immediately. Have you noticed the scene in the cargo bay, one of the troopers was shot and his comrade passed near him, just looked at the guy on the ground and continued. Didn't bother to turn him and check is he still alive. I bet he might be still alive but ... dangerous concept.

What do you think the Moff is doing with those who fail his orders? Why is the caption preferring to suicide instead of surrender? What could be worst than death?

BTW have you noticed the fear in the eyes of the pilot? Very well played, very well visualized. I wander how many troopers died during the purge of Mandalore. They must have paid a really high prise for their victory. Of course the empire doesn't care, they have thousands of world with multi-trillion population, plenty of troopers to supplement the loss.

Yes. The Imperial acting in this episode was so good. Such a great mix of that staunch Imperial formality and out-of-their-depthness.

Hmm....wonder if it was a nod to this scene given this film (Captain America the First Avenger) was directed by Star Wars OG Joe Johnston

Yeah, Bo-Katan and her gauntlet vibroblade alone took out how many? Dang, girl.

And then it's juxtaposed with a cute baby tadpole getting petted and fussed over by its loving, kissy-face parents...

    That's Star Wars, I guess!

Can the live action actor just wear coloured contacts for once?! It’s honestly not hard. It really lessens my immersion. Just my little rant for the day!

He already was... from a caertain point of view. I actually think he's slowly gathering a pack around him, of Mandalorians and Non-Mandalorians.

I do think it could have used 5 to 10 more minutes, I was surprised it only lasted for 30 mins. It didn't feel that short to me!

Probably either big or small, but dangerous. I reckon so. ;)

I think you assume correctly we'll see Ahsoka at the very end of episode 4 as a cliff-hanger. (similar to Luke at the end of TFA)
And her actual introduction will be in the Filoni directed episode 5.

That was just a bit of hull-plating! :D (Was this a little Firefly tribute?)

I have seen only a few CW and Rebels episodes, but was aware of the Darksaber and characters like Ahsoka, Sabine and Bo Katan. So I was actually pleasantly surprised and exited! :)

You can bet that a group/cult that exists of "foundlings" will 'save' stray children mainly to increase their numbers. And the religious indoctrination was probablyintroduced to help youngsters from all over the Galaxy, bond without preconceptions or preferations and become a coherent unit.

Everyone thinks they're right from their own point of view... but yeah, they can learn from each other!
Bo and friends can be a bit more principled and Din could loosen up a little. (especially about the whole helmet thing and let the wind breeze through his hair for once! And maybe go back to that beautiful lady from the blue-shrimp settlement, when all this is over! :p)

Is Bo Katan drawn to look like Katee or they were incredibly lucky to find an actress who is used to play strong female characters in sci-fi movies? Sorry @GingerByte, the eyes color does not match, I also noticed this and was wandering why she didn't put contact lenses, but who knows.

I don't think it's any coincidence, Clone Wars Bo looks like a cartoon stylised version of Katee.

I haven't talked about this after being on a high for all the mandalorian awesomeness but the frog reunion did hit me in the feels! The way frog lady made a noise after seeing her boo then running towards him with her arms open followed by their hug as well as their kiss at the end and being with their baby was all such feel good moments!

Mix in of course baby yoda cuteness while he behaved this time. The baby frog petting moment made me want the child to get a pet in season 3 and be like star wars version of Dino and Pebbles from the Flint Stones.

Speaking of the feels and the child, him getting pushed into the water then getting eaten did hit me pretty hard even though I knew he's be okay somehow and after being saved, Din's reaction was like such a parent!

Well, I'm not sure I'd take that bet... Though I have to admit when I first saw last season that Din's rescuers were Death Watch, I was suspicious. BUT we saw that when Din saved his foundling, he was not instructed to indoctrinate it and add it to their numbers but to return it to its kind, with Din as his foster dad of sorts in the interim. We'll see what ends up happening there. ;)

Yeah, though I kind of enjoy trying to read Din from his body language, voice, and the show's music, I'd much rather see his face. And the wind blowing through his hair. :D Hmm, maybe he can finally find happiness with Omera, or maybe with someone else... Or maybe just his son?

We shall see, we shall see...

Din taking off his helmet for Baby Yoda and him acting like such a toddler by touching Din's cheeks while making baby noices as Din smiles would break Disney + and the internet for days!!

Ofcourse they won't indoctrinate little Chewie! First off... the Mandalorian helmet won't fit over his ears! :D
Secondly, they know (at least the armorer does) even when grown up, he'll come up short... (Badum tshhhh!!)
So his stature will mess up the visual sense of unity...:p

...and they're probably scared of him... dealing with Mudhorns and saving Mando while essentially still being a (50 year old) toddler!

Nope! He's better off with his own kind! (Let them deal with that little Force wielder! Before he starts throwing tantrums...) ;)

Well, what are everyone's thoughts on which way the season goes from here on?

    A. We meet Ahsoka, maybe an episode or two with her, Din and BY, and they finally get BY to his/her home planet

    or

    B. We meet Ahsoka, BY is captured by Gideon, the rest of the season is Din/Ahsoka/Cara/Greef on a quest to get BY back

    or

    C. We meet Ahsoka, she gives Din a clue as to where BY needs to go, Din continues his quest with a parallel story arc involving Bo Katan, Gideon, The Dark Saber, Ahsoka and Mandalore

    or

    D. ........your thoughts?
