Honestly, it looks more like Palpatine in the face and ears than Snoke. Would also be a cool nod to the Legend's Canon by the empire attempting to bring back cloned Palpatine. Would also give Moff Gideon a motive. If he has the Dark Saber and can manipulate midichlorians into his body, he could try to make himself the next "Vader".

Let's not forget the protocol droid teaches interesting things about the galaxy, something easy unnoticed if you only pay attention to baby cookies scene.

Droid talks about the major trade routes in the galaxy, the regions, Kessel and the most important thing, she talks about Chandrila (homeworld and birthplace of Ben Solo), the new (rotating) capital of the New Republic instead of Coruscant (Old republic) after the battle of Endor.

Re-watching the episode and wander, have you noticed the room in the beginning where the Aqualish criminals were hiding. It is the same room where the Armorer was working, and the forge is still there, just now they use it to cook weasels.

 

I liked the short lesson at school. I would love to hear more about the galaxy's history and other curiosities. And also something more about the new republic.
The final scene is nice. I also understand Kara Dune's character better as she is from Alderaan. I don't think is nice to see your home planet destroyed by the empire/first order. I think it would be nice if Kara is going to become a new republic soldier.

And of course the stormtroppers are not able to aim properly and they are easily killed. Again.

 

Thought some of you might appreciate this BEFORE the new Mando episode airs.

 

No, I don't think it will be nice. She is a former shock trooper, I think this is enough. She is quite ok where she is and this way she has a chance for a normal life. one cannot fight forever, even if this is needed ( in star wars it's always needed that someone fight ).

 

Ah ok, I was not aware about this. Maybe I forgot or missed something in season 1. But maybe just help the new republic? Just to see the empire defeated?

 

My take was that they were trying to make "force troopers" or stormtroopers that could function better with Midichlorians and whatnot.

But to the episode itself, I like how it accomplished multiple things at once. Mando got his ship fixed, we saw his old buddies, the Gideon plot is moving forward, and Carl Weathers directed an episode! And it looked good too! There was some very obvious CGI, but the shots were dynamic, the score was phenomenal, and the episode fired on all cylinders.

 

Same about the troopers, many people are bent on the idea that they are dark troopres but why would they showcase them in such a manner in the same episode in which the jar snoke-like thing was along with M-count term drop. Pretty sure they are an ITERATION of dark troopers.

 

She is helping the new republic by fighting the scum and villainy on Nevarro and is making a good spot for herself there. She was part of the team which destroyed the imperial base on Nevarro, which the new republic troopers didn't manage to overtake because it was dug too deep in the rocks
Honestly, I think she is doing enough.

 

Hey how about the TRIUMPHANT RETURN of the mighty RAZOR CREST this episode!!! LOVE this ship.....when he blasts that last TIE fighter and flies through the debris, with the Mando anthem blasting, wow that is some really great Star Wars right there!
