So we're all speculating on what Jedi might have saved Grogu from the Temple, presumably at the time of Order 66.

Here's what Ahsoka says Grogu communicated to her:

At the end of the Clone Wars, when the Empire rose to power, he was hidden. Someone took him from the Temple. Then his memory becomes...dark. He seemed lost. Alone.
The script deliberately doesn't say who hid him or took him. So what if a dark sider, or someone from the Empire, took Baby Grogu in all the confusion? Maybe from the very beginning there was a plan to get this kid's blood and do experiments on him, but something happened and he fell into the hands of mercenaries instead? (Assuming those were mercenaries in ch. 1.) It would make sense that then he'd keep a low profile and suppress his use of the Force so as not to give away his powers and get back into the hands of the scientists...

I wouldn't think it would be a dark sider, unless Grogu was able to get away. I would suspect another Jedi, a civilian (no, obviously not that civilian :p), or perhaps a clone who fought the programming.

A Jedi seems most logical, unless there were civilian caretakers or nannies of some kind in the Temple... I mean, surely it wasn’t only Jedi who changed diapers and fed the little tykes!

I would like to think it wasn't only Jedi who were employed in that massive temple!

Maybe the mundane tasks were for the Jedi who weren't up to snuff, like KP for the army. :D

There were normal people who worked in the temple; as shown in at least one Clone Wars episode.

It would be especially touching, I think, if someone “normal” saved Baby Grogu simply because they were fond of him, rather than someone saving him because he’s valuable for his powers. Like the rescuer was a foreshadowing of Mando.

Poor Baby Grogu. Yeah, I don't like the idea either, him being rescued and passed around to do magical tricks or being sold for portion bread.

A droid rescued him. That or a teenage Boba Fett took him.

I wonder if will ever get an answer as to why those bandits had him in the first place. Unless those were just video game like goones for Mando to kill.

I would like to see how a "bad" guy rescued him. Maybe a Clone Trooper who became rogue afterwards. Enter Temuera Morrison.

Definetly it doesn't have to be a Jedi. Could be anyone.
But I guess if they have said it, they will not let it pass. So soon or after we will know who was.

Do you remember that IG-11 tried to shoot the baby when they opened the door, back then Season 1 Chapter 2.
Then the bounty hunter who found them on Sorgan also aimed at the baby.
The pilot of the star fighter, Riot Mar, who attacked them was also aiming to destroy the Crest.

I will raise the theory that there is someone else searching for the child, someone who's interest is to kill it. It's clear that Moff Gideon wants the child alive because he needs a constant supply of high m-count blood. Is this line in the script forgotten or we are going to see it near the end of Season 2?

I thought the same, but it's not in the jedi code to torture prisoners or to kill defeated enemy. So she is probably imprisoned on the planet? Will be stupid if she is spared just to be released y Moff Gideon.

A jedi, a padawan, a security, a droid, Cad Bane - who maybe came back for something, Darth Vader - who wanted to prevent that Palpatine has a new apprentice, some of the inquisitors who wanted a pet, some thief who wanted to sell him ... we can speculate forever.

Jedi where very influential, they could afford a nanny or a nursing droid. could be that he/she/it was killed later on because was not of use.

I wander who was paying the Nikto mercenaries? They usually work for someone, so who is he?

I like this! I could totally see a future episode where they show us these things in the recap in the beginning to remind us, and then introduce us to the competing faction. They could be "good" or evil. If "good" that would imply that someone knows Gideon's (and/or the Emperor's) plans...

I don't think The Magistrate has a head.

Like her old Master, Tano understood she was too dangerous to be kept alive... and since Ahsoka's no Jedi.... miss Morgan got Dooku'd.

    My first thought....

After drawing the conclusion that "Many Masters Trained Him" really means "many Masters tried to teach him how to speak, but he could only use the force, so they picked another youngling as their Padawan."

    - Everything else, makes my head hurt.

    Holy Bantha PooDoo, Nephew!
    I want this now.

One day ( and a few hours ) to the next episode. What do you want to see this Friday?

    Me :
A lush planet, big old threes, ancient ruins of a Jedi Temple, magnificent view from the mountain, some lakes. Beautiful nature. Some deadly beasts in the shadows, some feeling of danger, but not attacking the mandalorian.
Than the polar ice caps, the Jedi temple in the ice, deep underground, the shrine of whispers. :)
    Some surprise.

I want to see the force behave mysteriously on Tython.

Also, I have no idea what that means.
