My husband came into the room while I was watching and actually cooed over Baby Yoda I MEAN Grogu sleeping in his widdle cot... And then he awwwwed over Din cuddling him.

Guess he's hooked now too. Mwahahaha!

here are my predictions

i feel like boba will show up again, and as to why, we will look at legends. Maybe he has cancer, like all other clones, and wants to extend his life with rad cloning blast that gideon is doing. As to why, in legends, he had a daughter, so maybe he wants to go back to a possible daughter. Anyway, gideon promises him his armor from din and an extended lifestyle using cloning stuff.
ep 6- they go to tython, and baby yoda gets some cool little power. This cant be just a normal trip to tython, so boba fett shows up and beats up din and is about to take him to gideon, but then they have a heart to heart and they agree to team up. Then din says that he should call someone and the episode ends
ep7- he calls bo katan, because she is looking for darksaber. So now everyone has a reason and they go storm wherever gideon lives. This will basically just be a battle episode. Gideon unleashes his dark/shadow troopers, and they have a big fight, but at the end the mandalorians are subdued.
Ep8- They start to do tests on grogu, but then he uses his cool new force powers he used on tython to escape, and then greef karga and cara dune show up to free the mandalorians. More fighting, and they all go to the reactor to destroy the ship and stop the cloning bantha poodoo. boba asks din to get him a cloning capsule so he can take it to the kaminoans so that he can get extended life or something. Then din goes to fight gideon. It will look sort of like when oliver goes to kill anthony ivo in arrow on his ship(this will make no sense if you havent seen arrow, but i know you have FALCHION!) Anyway they have a nice battle and din has his spear. Maybe the spear breaks in half or he is disarmed. Then, we have a more specific prediction, where gideon starts whaling on din's armor and drives him back with suspenseful music. Eventually, some piece of the armor breaks and din falls down, and gideon prepares for the final blow. So then grogu redirects his blade so gideon commits sepuku. Then they run away and the star destroyer is blown up, and boba gets his cloning capsule and armor, bo gets her darksaber, and fin. Oh and then in the last scene thrawn shows up to give you suspense. Maybe he has ahsoka captive.

So, finally watched the latest chapter, and while it wasn't the Ahsoka I got used to, I think the casting and direction was superb. I have to remember that Ahsoka's a lot older by now, and has seen and been through a lot. So the youthful exuberance would have gone.

And Thrawn!?!?! Awesome! We may see him

And don't get me started on Tython!!! I'm super excited for that!!! And as for the Jedi that would answer the call, my credits are on Ezra Bridger assuming he's still alive. Failing that, I'm not sure who'd be around 5 years after the end of Jedi, unless Grogu's species come to get him.......

 

Seriously, this is the show to me. Watch Din's thumb as he caresses the baby's hand. It makes me melt into a puddle of goo when I think about how much these two have grown to love each other. I mean, I love blurrgs and lightsabers and X-wings and space dragons and jetpacks and Force hoo-ha and creepy experiments in vats...but right here with found family is where it's at.

 

*plugs ears* LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU

Seriously though...I'm convinced they'll come up with a way for Din and Grogu to stay together (aside from the odd kidnapping plot, which I'm not ruling out).

I don't know anything about SW Legends, but that special seat thing sounded exactly like the Seat of Seeing on Amon Hen that Frodo goes to before he breaks away from the Fellowship. And Sauron almost found him there...

 

I'm kind of confused about Thrawn. The Thrawn that Zahn has been writing doesn't really follow a villain"s path. I'm enjoying the books, but I'm wondering if there's a disconnect between the books and what they're planning for TV. If so, that would be very disappointing after six books of Thrawn backstory.

 

I love Grogu, his story and the connecting lore but I hope season 3 focuses on Din doing bounty hunter stuff, the watch, the guild and Moff being the main villain going after Din for more reasons than just wanting Grogu!

Grogu can still have big story arcs without most things revoling around him. Have Din rise as a legendary Mandalorian than just Grogu's guardian and protector! Whether side quests or the actual main stories.
