Stormtroopers have been dumb, easy targets and useless since A New Hope. They've been like this in films, animated shows, video games, books/comics and now this show through out a 40 year history! I've been over it and they're way beyond "getting ridiculous". But hey whatever, they always look badass and make for damn good action!

Antonio Banderas should have done a cameo as a stormtrooper that got his helmet knocked off and he tried to gun fight against Boba or as an imperial officer that hangs by the ships giving orders

I agree. Despite many said it's not their favorite episode, which I can totally understand, I think the fight scenes were done brilliantly, dynamic and interesting. Maybe the brutality is what make people to dislike it. Anyways the movie is about a mandalorian, and they are fighters, not farmers. The series is part of a movie sequence called Star Wars, it's about wars among the stars :), not about farmers. Yet from time to time is fun to see peaceful planets and farmers growing blue krill :) and forests and easy going life. It's all Star Wars.
I think they made a grade tribute to Boba Fett with this episode. I hope to see more in the next two episodes and to understand what did he do all those years after the sarlacc pit.

I wonder how many canon stormtroopers have been killed? (Video games included)

How awesome was that episode?! Can't wait for the Avengers unite against Gideon. Oh, and if some Jedi shows up, it should be me.

I was expecting Gideon to capture Grogu in this episode or in the finale and it makes sense for it to happen so Gideon can get the upper hand until defeated again but it still sucks! Grogu not being by Din's side at the end of an episode just isn't right and being captive alone in a imperial ship's room in shackles is heart breaking. Also got knocked out by a stormtroopers stun gun and Gideon showing off the dark sabre.

I think I'm actually pissed and sad. He better not be captive all the way to the finale's ending or something.

Din needs to avenge the Razor Crest and go beast mode until he gets his son back! Pull an Arnold Schwarzenegger and go Commando Din!

Indeed. I mean, if you wanna be technical about it, he is the only "Jedi" around. Unless they are gonna say someone survived order 66. Which I hope they don't. I get that it was inevitable some would have survived, but Vader was hunting them down and killing them. While I can buy one, maybe two surviving (Yoda and Obi-Wan) I just think at this point it would be a bit much. At least for me. So I'm hoping it is Luke.

I don't know if I buy this. I think good writers can use him in a way that makes sense and doesn't allow him to just take over the show. He might be the only Jedi, but their powers aren't unlimited. Have him pull a Yoda in AOTC (the end part). He maybe saves the child and then goes and does whatever it is Luke is doing. Which is actually a gripe I have with Disney Star Wars. We learn NOTHING so far (as far as I'm aware) of just what it is that he's doing. It really is obvious that they either don't know what to do with Luke, don't care or something. I mean it's weird.

Anyway I'm with Storm. I think there is no way we get Luke on the show, but I think it'd be cool to see him again.

Didn't like the stormtroopers attack but in fact the brutality and forcefulness of Boba it was the interesting part. Was cool to see some helmets and armours exploding by that overwhelming weaphon.
Really liked Temuera presence and voice.

That could easily be explained though as any remote control only works within a certain radius. So yeah, he had to go away very quickly and therefore had no time to active it there and then and later simply didn't have reception. So if he has the jet pack ready next week its really not that big of a deal he didn't use it during the fighting on Tython imho. It would be pretty dumb though if he simply left it on Tython.

Does it? Ahsoka already declined training Grogu and she was the one communicating with him to begin with. So why would Grogu asking via the Seeing Stone on Tython change her mind? Grogu didn't seem to want to leave Din to begin with, but if he suddenly changed his mind I don't see why Ahsoka Tano would change her mind. If anything we are going to see Ahsoka helping to rescue Grogu (which I definitely think we will). But Ahsoka training Grogu? I don't see it.

He is the only one we know for certain to be alive. We don't know if Leia is already a Jedi at this point in time (or do we? I don't know, if it was ever stated when her Jedi training happened). If so than we have a second one. And if Cal Kestis & Cere Junda or Ezra Bridger are alive we have 5 Jedi left plus the former Jedi Padawan in Ahsoka Tano. So Luke is far from the only option. Even if we are "technical about it".

    Working on a theory....
Palpatine saved Grogu from the temple during order 66. After Palpatine died in EP 6, Grogu possibly escaped with help.
Ahsoka said his mind or memories go dark after the temple.
    Thoughts and/or additions?

I've not kept up with all of the cannon books tbh. However, I seem to remember that in Bloodlines they said she did not complete her training. But I could be wrong.

    Mandalorian Season Finale--

(Luke Skywalker pulls a lightsaber on a sleeping Grogu)

Mandalorian: Skywalker, what in Mandalore's name do you think you're doing?!

Luke: I saw darkness. I sensed it building in him. And for the briefest moment of pure instinct, I thought I could stop it.

Mandalorian: I changed my mind. I don't want Grogu training with you after all. And if you don't change your ways, your New Jedi Order will be over before it even began.

Woah. It’s been said before but I love the feeling that Filoni and Favero bring of “these are our toys, let’s make them play together.” This whole season with Snips, Bo, Thrawn, Fett; it’s a fans “greatest hits” that also makes narrative sense.

Okay plot time. Is anyone else worried that Grogu is going to fall to the dark side? The way he didn’t just “dispatch” the troopers but instead seemed to be punishing them really bothered me. On a different note It’s strange that Grogu could get Jedi training and retain that but not his ability to communicate. Unless “Yoda’s” don’t talk until they hit the terrible twohundreds.

There was so much to like about this episode! The return of Boba Fett, wonderful bonding moments between Grogu and Mando and the Razor Crest getting turned into a smoking black hole! All unexpected and very fun.

My biggest criticism of the episode would be the setting and fight around the Jedi temple - it did not feel like or look like Star Wars at all to me. The way it was shot and directed felt and looked WAY too much like a fan film or an old Star Trek TV episode that was filmed on a studio backlot in California. It just felt and looked...off. Maybe it was because of the stark sunlight or something...I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it just didn’t feel or look like Star Wars to me. It didn’t feel like a new planet setting - I love practical effects and settings, but compared to last week and the “set” around Ahsoka, this setting looked way too earthly and cheap. A Jedi temple in Studio City, CA.

Fun the way the story is progressing though! Looking forward to the rest of the season.
