Face scan may be just as simple as in real life, to make sure you are real and not a Bot or hack.

I like it and as I said already it makes the life easier for those who make costumes. Having it in uniform color is much easier than trying to weather it the way it was. The fresh paint and the black suit and vest make him look more tactical, like military. I like the look. The black vest and suit will be hard to find as surplus, as most flight suits are green, beige, etc. I bet they don't produce flight suits in black for the military. Maybe black tactical clothing will do, like those used by special forces. This might be even cheaper than surplus flight suits.

In my opinion the scanner only needed a neutral face to activate it. No charges, affiliations or criminal convictions. Yeah, not so clever for the Empire, but effective. That Gideon knows Din's name doesn't mean the database relates the face with the name. As someone pointed out no one has seen Din's face since he was a kid. I guess his adult face has never been scanned.

It is, of course, possible that Din HAS taken the helmet off in the past. It might even have gone badly, which is why he's rather anal about it now... In any case, the Imp. records on Morak has his mug now, at the very least, and taking the mugshot for contingency (and checking it against criminal databases etc) might just be a step in the verification process.

Where is really Moff Gideon? I have watched this video :

Gives a lot of details. Yet ...

    Iktotch ?

    Screenshot_2020-12-13_12-35-35.png

Vendaxa ? Does he need a new pet?

    Screenshot_2020-12-13_12-36-19.png

That doesn't make much sense right? So ... basically we don't know :)

Yes, it’s possible, but Din said multiple times last season that’s he’s never taken it off, and he was willing to die rather than do it and therefore break the Creed...and though Din is a bit of a drama queen I definitely don’t think he’s a liar.

There's always at least one thing in each episode...we had eating eggs and forgetting jetpacks and how a lightsaber user should fight a spear user... Looks like we're Star Wars fans. :p;)

Why Boba painted his armor now and not before during his very successful carrier as bounty hunter and mercenary?
There is a guy on youtube saying that before he wanted to show all those scars and dents because this is history. And he didn't have time before because he was always per-occupied with work.
He said also that now he has much more time to appreciate life and he wanted to take care of this armor because it is very important for him.

My opinion is that he didn't care that much before. The armor was a tool and it did it's purpose - to protect him.
Now in the Mandalorian the armor was looking really bad, it was really time to give it a fresh look. I mean he doesn't want people to say "what a shabby looking guy with this scrap metal on him". So although the armor was functional it was looking bad, now is looking really fresh and nice. Yet the dents and the scars - all the battles, all the glory, all the history, all the blood is still there on it.

    What do you think guys?

I have my opinion for the armor too.

Seeing the clean armor that fast chocked me a little bit too. Of course I prefear it clean but would have been better to show it in S3 as a big surprise, after the dirty events has been through the last episodes and for what it's coming (like wow! it's like new! even watching a moment of Boba painting it again and receiving the attention deserves the suit, this armor is another character).

Does anybody know why the explosions of the rhydonium in this episode look different to Clone Wars? It wasn't so colourful, it actually looked like a normal explosion.
Does it maybe have something to do with which planet it is from?

Perhaps it is related to what is possible to be done in CGI and real footage of explosions to look realistic in live action movie. You don't want to make a live action that looks like anime at the end. In the anime there is a higher degree of freedom in therm of effects and how to show explosions. In live action there are many limitations, they went so far to build a scaled model of the Crest in order to study the reflections, because the aluminum surface is so reflective that they were not sure how it will work with their innovative filming process ( with those HD screens I mean ).
I watched the explosions again and again and they look very real to me, as I wrote already they looked like blowing petrol, so probably that's what they did. :)

realistically, it is because the director hadnt seen clone wars explosions
in universe, it could be because of metal salts, which cause color in explosions. This being one of many imperial mining planets, it may not have had the higher quality materials of the republic, so maybe no metal salts? Also color changes with temperature, so this seems like a much smaller amount of rhydonium than in clone wars, which could lead to less explosion and less high temperature

The other scene I loved was when Mayfield first sees Boba and is all alarmed, but then his face breaks out into a relieved grin.

"You know, for a second I thought you were this other guy."

Then he turns around, only to turn back and then see Mando for real, hahaha.

My wife made me laugh, she said "Wow we've never seen that before!" After informing her that AotC was the first film, "Wow. I've never seen that before."
= I really liked seeing his rifle, very 1980. Plus, it's like the GFFA's AR15.

So, "Operation Cinder" made my ears perk up, cool to hear something else mentioned on-screen that previously was only within the new canon books!
I'm still in the middle of Alphabet Squadron but I really need to go back and re-read Aftermath trilogy as well.

Operation Cinder was one of the few things I liked about Battlefront II's story, it first appeared in the Leia comic I think.
