The Mandalorian S2E8 - Chapter 16

Well that was an interesting turn of events indeed. Whereas Season 2 was largely building up from Season 1, it feels like next season is going to take things in a different direction. It will feel strange not having Grogu around. Hard to guess what's going to happen next, but I'm definitely looking forward.

Lol, no kidding. I certainly did not expect that.

 

Here's another thing I've noticed about the post-credits scene:
There is what looks like letters on the chair Boba sits on. They are not Aurebesh or Mandalorian but it does look like letters. You can see it more clearly as Boba pushes Bib Fortuna to the ground. I could be wrong because the "letters" are symmetrical on both sides of the chair. Could just be a design but it looks like it says something.

 

The Bo-Katan story thread seems to be the only one not getting its own spinoff. So, probably that: Mando and those Mandos, being Mandos, fighting for who the real Mando is so they can lead planet Mando.

 

Not gonna go into an in-depth review of chapter 16 episode 8 all I'm gonna say is we finally got the Luke we all wanted from the sequel trilogy!!! Hopefully, F&F will bring back Rey, Finn, and Poe in future seasons of the Mandalorian or Rangers to repair all the missed opportunities we dreamed of in the sequel trilogy. F&F team, they get Star Wars give them the keys to the Palace Archives!!!

 

And become a Mary-Grogu? They would never.

 

Please don't be one of those Scum types. Nothing wrong with him returning to Din after some training time. Doesn't automatically mean he'll be so powerful and show off the skills all the time from now on

Actually it was easy to call it as I had no money on the line. If I was putting money I'd have said Ahsoka.

But you are right. The real challenge begins now. The bar is set. There was no way anything would hit like Grogu touching Mando's face and then the fact we saw ROTJ era Luke, that green blade, R2!!! Yeah. Now they will have to continue to do this. I think they can. I mean, Jon and Dave have been impressive so far, even if it was without any expectations at first.

Now I'm off to watch this again for the 4th time. Still getting goose bumps every time that X-wing flies in.

There's a difference between being annoyed with the whole marry sue bs, joke or not and "crying over it". I ain't mad or sad but just annoyed and find that stuff dumb. Wasn't sure you were even joking

 

Not gonna lie. A little bummed Luke didn't bring his Dagobah back pack and carry little Grogie off like a papoose.

 

I was floored... watching the credits waiting for the cool credit art... but nothing then BAM... THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT. F&F THANK YOU MERRY CHRISTMAS

 

I wonder what kind of book Boba has. I hope it's a pop-up. Those are my favorite.

 

I get the feeling that S3 we will get a lot more Mandalore/Mandalorian stuff. Din is technically finished with his quest, but will probably get an update on the kid. Din took his helmet in front of a lot of people and he can't return to his Creed or whatever.

THIS. My wife said right after it ended that she wouldn't mind watching the episode again tonight. She never does that. Not ever. Luke was spot on and they even threw us a Droid General bone. From a certain; finally force crushed like a tin can, point of view.

 

I'd settle for the Wren family lake house.

It's really not well said. It's inability to take an obvious joke.

 

It really wasn't clear to me. Could just been hating and sarcastic as some tend to do. Which is yeah a joke anyway but it's still annoying and dumb 6k me.
