    Although i dont recall seeing it apparently they showed who Ezra's parents Mira Bridger and Ephraim Bridger were.
    They were no one special apparently.

    are the Dual (double bladed) lightsaber still supposed to be the weapon from the time of the "old republic" and before?(dual)

    Also I have always known that darth maul was a survivor from the days of the sith empire and in the order of sith lords, is this still canon?

    I really hope they don’t pull a “Revenge of the Sith” and release the novel before the movie haha, because I bought that book the day it came out and was fully prepared for Episode III. Anyways, That pic with Aladdin cracked me up, but my buddies and I call him “Mini Scott Stapp” and we always bust out appropriate lines from Creed when he is about to say something.
    “Ezra, you need to get up to the top of that tower”
    *Ezra looks over to the pilot* “Can you take me higher?”
    Anwayas, back on topic. The Dark Disciple story is something I am really excited for, but more than that I am looking for a novel that comes out in the timeline between VI and VII…just for a bit of insight as to what is going on. I love the mystery surrounding the movie, but I would like to know a TINY bit about where they are going with it before I show up to the theatre…just to prepare myself.

    I'm so excited for this. Maybe even more than TFA. I heard we would get a comic lead-in ala Marvel but didn't imagine the gaps would be filled in so well until after the TFA release. I imagine the titles we didn't hear about in the release will be more backstory to characters we meet in TFA, like the Rey YA series.

    Bear in mind that Disney Publishing and Marvel Comics are two completely different beasts, controlled by different branches. If there's a lead-in to The Force Awakens in comic form, it will most likely be announced at Celebration VII/Anaheim, the San Diego Comic Con, or the New York Comic Con.

    Ditto. I liked some of the old EU BUT knowing these stories are legit makes it that much more fun. I just hope they're good stories and can keep us interested unlike some of the older stuff but I figured there would be a few releases before TFA. That way we can be caught up just enough to know what has been happening with our old friends.

    I'm generally just interested in what happened between each set of movies (especially those two). I hope that they don't abandon the era between The Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones, because there are still interesting stories to tell there.

    Another potential TFA tie-in from Heir to the Jedi, besides the potential crossguard-like saber ... we may know how Captain Phasma gets her "cloaking" device (if those rumors are in fact true).

    There is a mission that Luke and Nakari go on to collect specimens of an alien species that can become "invisible". Nakari's father wants to harvest this ability for tech. Could this be the origin of Phasma's tech?
