I thought we would get to witness this event in end of the Clone Wars, but it was not to be. Looks like Season 2 will bring it to us.
My first question would be who commits the slaughter?
Were there any clones left on Mandalore after Ashoka leaves with Maul? I did not see any but maybe someone noticed something else.

    Yeah, I wonder.

I kinda get the impression that we saw very little of the actual "siege" on Mandalore. And in fact, given the somber tone at the beginning of "Shattered", perhaps the siege and its after effects continued long after Order 66?

Depends on what they meant by "gunships", I guess.

IMPERIALS I THINK. After Bo-katan is mand'alor, then imperials come in and kill everyone and take darksaber.

It's interesting that they are calling this CW arc the Siege of Mandalore, considering that what we saw wasn't really much of a siege (more like a fairly standard battle). So maybe very soon after what we saw--soon enough that all the action kind of bleeds into one long event--new legions of Imperial/"Republic" troops/clones arrive to take over Mandalore? Naturally Mandalorians are going to fight outsiders till there's no one left standing, which would surely result in a long siege.
