I'm having cold feet about this game but I KNOW we can do it.
We're not just gonna let the Rams walk all over us. Not with this defense.

TRUBISKY IS THE SEXIEST SLIDER IN THE LEAGUE. DON'T EVEN @ ME!!

All that was missing from the Pat's loss was "oh, the band is out on the field!"

Goff threw four interceptions and no touchdowns. I think that's probably the sexiest thing about last night for me.

Thank you Bears for pulling through for me and getting me an extra pick, yet the perfect week eludes me still.
It also probably ended Gronkowski's career as a safety. Though if it was a deep ball instead of a lateral play, I'm thinking he would have been a good match-up.

Because Belichick was using his Hail Mary defensive lineup, expecting the Dolphins to call a deep pass play with a hobbled Tannehill. If the normal defense was fielded instead, the Patriots would have almost assuredly won the game.

If you're the Dolphins, and you see this - you see a four man rush and Gronkowski in, of course you're going to throw it short. This loss was on the coaching.

Well this thread has cheered me up again as my picks this week were appalling.
On the plus side I had forgotten that I had gone for the Cowboys over the Eagles so that was a nice surprise when I checked my picks today :p.

But the patriots losing to that play & it being on coaches helped a bit. Interestingly on the BBC show the 2 Ex players called this as a potential loss for the Patriots due to the heat & humidity so watching the highlights show on Wednesday should be a lot of fun.

Congratulations @teline you absolutely called the Bears win in the Pick um thread.

Yeah... Brady is infamously terrible against the Fins at home and the Broncos. Denver is the only team with a winning record over him and a lot of it is owed to Manning.

Here's the Boswell kick from the Oakland game.

OK, you CANNOT convince me there wasn't a banana peel on that field somewhere. Boswell literally slipped.

At the end of the game, they were about to score again and Henry was on the sideline. A 5th touchdown would have given him the franchise record, but he practically refused to go back in because he wanted his teammate to get a chance. Now that is someone I want on my team.

    ...hold my beer.

    https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...rent-quarterback-since-hue-jackson-was-fired/

"...With Jackson and Haley running the offense, Mayfield completed 58.3 percent of his passes, averaged 6.6 yards per pass, had eight touchdowns and six interceptions, had a 78.9 passer rating and was sacked 20 times. Since Jackson and Haley were fired, Mayfield has completed 73.2 percent of his passes, averaged 9.2 yards per pass, thrown 11 touchdown passes and four interceptions, has a 114.5 passer rating, and has been sacked three times..."

    Beautiful, isn't it? :D

I was really nervous that they were going to blow it at the end.

Luck-ily, you've got yourself a TD machine at TE.

    ...you're welcome. ;)

    My whole thought process:
    That's a real unfortunate freeze-frame.
How does a peeled banana make more sense than an unpeeled banana in this segment??
Unless Gruden then ate the banana...
How the eff does Gruden eating a banana make it onto MNF??

    simultaneous sub-thought process:

So, here's something interesting: the Redskins are 0-4 since hosting a Native American "blessing ceremony".
The following day, they lost 23-21 to the Texans and Alex Smith suffered a terrible leg injury.
The next game, they lost 31-23 to the Cowboys.
The week after that, a 28-13 loss to the Eagles, with Colt McCoy suffering a leg injury as well.
Then, a 40-16 blowout loss to the Giants.

That's an 0-4 run, including three straight losses to divisional opponents and the loss of both their starting and backup quarterbacks. Before the ceremony, Washington was 6-3 and almost certainly playoff bound. Now, they're in free fall, needing a lot of dominoes to fall their way to make the post season.

It's looking more and more like what they thought was a blessing was really a curse.

Ok so I’m just catching up on week 14 games a watching my Week 14 review.
    Just a few point
I’m sorry @Alamact but that NO LOOK pass by Mahomes is absolutely ridiculous how in hell are you ment to defend against something like that.
@teline So the BEARS figured out how to contain not only the Rams offensive with lots of disguised coverage options but also how to Slow Down Aaron Donald probably one of the best defensive players out there all you need is a big RB to help with blocking him or just double up on him on every play.
I’m going to post a link no idea if this will work outside the U.K. but if it does what do you guys who have far more knowledge of the game think of it & how it compares to the American Highlights shows.

You can't. You really can't. I'm not regretting picking my team to win one bit. They made Mahomes' life particularly hard last Sunday, giving him his worst game of the season. Jackson keeps getting better and better, and the fact that he was able to keep up with the best team in the league in their own stadium is nothing short of incredible. I'm loving how in a league that's started prioritizing these high-octane passing offenses, the Ravens are being cheeky bastards about it and purposefully going against the meta, as @teline puts it. It's given us a unique identity and for the first time, in perhaps ever, we've actually got an offense that's exciting to watch. We used to be infamously known as the boring team, but I don't think that's quite as true anymore.

    The future is looking bright.
One of my routines when it comes to football, besides staying up-to-date on the news, is watching Brandon Perna and UrinatingTree on YouTube. Besides possessing a decent grasp of the sport and the current state of the league, they provide a more humorous, witty spin on the situation that's rather quite engaging to watch in a neatly packaged 15-minute video. They tend to use strong language to hammer a point down, so if that's not your cup of tea, they probably won't be your cup of tea as well. Here's Perna with his pre-game show for Week 14:

And here's UrinatingTree with his post-game recap for Week 14:

Honestly what I hate about our highlight shows is that they tend to sensationalize a lot of it wayyy too much. If you're looking for actual discussion and breakdowns, you're better off looking for smaller productions.
UrinatingTree just released his next Days of our Steelers and it's glorious!

Important to note that he's a big Steelers fan and a Pittsburgh native so his frustrations being genuine make it all the more funnier. He also does a Jaguars series called "Sacksonville Abbey" in a fake British accent.

I haven't watched Perna but he looks entertaining. Is he a Broncos fan?? Probably gonna check him out this week when I get more time.
