Nah, you would just be harder to find/see/tackle!

As long as you are fast. And elusive. And can take a hit from someone who likely has another foot in height and 100lbs on you.
    :D

That’s a check on the Elusiveness but not so much on the speed :p.

As for taking the hit well I guess my one & only pay check would go on my hospital stay after taking said hit.

Well the Washington Vs Miami game is living up to its reputation as they have put on 46 Yards combined  in the First Quarter.

Watching MNF and the reffing is just extra disgusting this year.
Haha, the Bengals never really stood a chance. Their 10pts came from special teams and another 7 from a garbage time TD. But that's those weird divisional games for you!
I have no idea how the Texans beat the Chiefs up though. That is not ideal...

    Oh I hadn't noticed.

Whatever. The NFL gets its darling another win. The Lions lose. All is right in the world again. Nothing to see here.

For those not watching postgame, Scott Van Pelt also showed his disgust in the refs the entire highlight reel.

The refs 100% stole that game from the Lions. That fourth quarter was crooked as hell.
You know blast's bad when Barry Sanders has to speak up about it.

I have always wanted to be an official, but as luck would have it - I was born with 20/20 vision, I'm in great shape, and have excellent stamina. Is it true that I have to be blind to officiate an NFL game?

This was mentioned by an announcer last night: Trey Flowers, the highest paid player in free agency, has never in his 5th year in the league (4 with New England, now with the Lions). He has never before been called for a "Hands to the Face" penalty in his career, until last night when he was called twice for them in the second half of the 4th quarter, when, conveniently, the Packers were on the ropes.

Welcome to Detroit, Trey. You are officially a Lion now!

    .....

"Still, it was a pair of phantom penalties on Detroit defensive lineman Trey Flowers that helped the Packers eliminate a 10-point deficit.

The first, an illegal hands to the face foul that replay review showed clearly wasn’t, wiped out a third-down sack and kept alive the fourth-quarter drive that cut the deficit from 22-13 to 22-20. The second, another illegal hands to the face call on Flowers, gave Green Bay a fresh set of downs in the red zone and allowed them to burn the remaining 1:36 off the clock before kicking the game-winning field goal, denying the Lions a chance to win it with a late field goal of their own."

My Pick 'Em prowess has struck again . Should have picked the Rancors.

Honestly, in Association Football, since the VAR rule started being enforced referee decisions have been vastly more fair, simply because they can't deny in front of everyone what the footage clearly shows. I think a similar and perhaps customised rule in the NFL would work wonders. It goes along well with the thrown flag system, so it would not disrupt play too much, if at all.

Bring the Skycam over from the AAF. It got the job done and it was great to actually hear the referees walk us through the process of determining the correct call.

"That's pass interfence! Isn't it?? I have no dog in the fight, but I have eyes, and that looks like that's gotta be a flag, but it's not thrown."

I guess I can take some solace in the fact that people are at least talking about this. I said to my friend after the game, "I know I sound like any other fan when I say the officials suck and stole that game, but come on... that was pathetic." I was shocked to see that starting with the SVP commentary that @teline linked that it was actually not just me and my assumed homer-ism.

Damn it Jags, you aren't supposed to be making good front office decisions! It's already enough contending with the Texans.
Also of note: Ravens getting a pro bowl CB for a 5th round pick and Kenny Young

That haul though.... 2 first round picks?!?

As a famous war hero smuggler once put it, "No cornerback is worth this!"

Sometimes I wonder if Mack is worth it.
But then I slap myself back into reality: OF COURSE he is worth it. A player like that can make a good unit turn elite. But if you got a bad secondary I don't think adding one elite cornerback is gonna fix all the holes.

For better or worse the Rams team we see now is gonna be the Rams team 4 years from now.

It's also worth keeping in mind that they traded him without a new deal in place. Meaning, if they don't get a deal done in the next 18 months and he leaves in free agency, that's 2 first round picks gone for nothing.

Surely the Rams are aware of that, but this means that Ramsey absolutely holds all the cards come negotiation time.

Jacoby Brissett has 4 touchdowns on the day!!!

I don't know what to do with my hands, but my quarterback most certainly does!
