I disagree. Cam Erving is good at pass protection. It's run protection where he leaves a lot to be desired - and that's putting it mildly. I expect this will help shut down the run game for the Chiefs (which they had none in the Oakland game because of Erving), but it won't disrupt the efficiency of their passing game at all. The offensive gameplan for Kansas City will consist of attacking Anthony Averett, the backup cornerback that's starting in place of Jimmy Smith and Tavon Young. If you feel like gambling a bit, take the over for this game. It'll be the easiest betting money you'll spend this week.

Just gonna drop this here real quick. A much cleaner version of teams and point differentials sorted by W/L record:

    Go Dolphins! (-92)

That’s more than the next three teams combined!

I bet practices are a joy.

I have a feeling they will win at least one game. Boy will that team feel horrible.

Any college football fans? I don’t see a thread for that.

I think @Lock_S_Foils might be down for that, but we generally kept it within this thread last year.

Well I don’t have much NFL to talk about until the draft, since I’m a Dolphins fan, but I’m also originally from SC and a Clemson fan. Been with both teams since I was a kid.

Gardner after the game last night:

Not only is Minshew looking like a hell of a quarterback, but his receivers are making names for themselves too. Chark is looking pretty good, and Westbrook may finally break onto the scene as well. They've got a surprisingly fun team down there all of a sudden...

Also, what did their defense have last night? 9 sacks on Mariota I think??

Brown was a ticking time bomb. I'm shocked the Pats took him in the first place; despite the allegations.

The allegations came out after they signed him.

Good on the Pats though, i was worried they would let this play out. They did the right thing -- and the only thing -- they could after his latest scumbaggery.

I hope the guy never plays again and lives a nondescript, broke life from here on out.

Looks like Antonio Brown is done with the NFL and is trying to play the victim role.

I saw Saquon Barkley with a boot on his foot. I bet the Dolphins have already offered up Kenyan Drake.

Patrick Mahomes is on track to throw more than 6,000 yards this year during the regular season, which would make him the only quarterback to do so.

Strangest game of the night that I watched definitely goes to the Pittsburgh @ San Francisco one. Turnovers all around, yet only the 49-ers found ways to capitalize on them.

    Steelers: 5 Turnovers - 6 points.
    49-ers: 2 Turnovers - 14 points.

This also marks the first time the 49-ers have gone 3-0 since 1998.

While he maybe playing the "victim role" he does raise point.

They also put up a stat during the game (and I don't know if I caught all of it) but historically, teams that commit 4 turnovers in a game were a collective 0-45-1. Congrats on the Steelers 49ers for putting one into the win column!

I also need to thank the Eagles for that Lions win yesterday. I don't recall seeing that many offensive pass interference penalties in a single game... the Eagles had 3, that I can recall, all negating huge plays. The hugest of course was on a 4th and 5 with the game on the line, Sproles made the catch to convert, but only after pushing off the defender. Flag thrown, 4th and 5 becomes 4th and 15, and the rest is history.

    Bring on the Chiefs!!
