I disagree:

Ahsoka: I'm no Jedi

Ahsoka embraced her thirst for revenge, certainly borrowed from the dark end of the spectrum. But if you think about it, who was fully light anyway? Is it possible to only walk in the light? We are all human (and various alien species) after all.

 

I think it is more her pointing to the fact that she's not going to be defined or limited by him. I didn't see anything beyond that line to suggest that she not the idealist she was before.

To be fair Finn was given that name from Poe based on his ID. I do agree with the Rey and now DJ part however.

 

DJ isnt his official nickname or anything...that's what the production refers to him as

 

If they give us names they give answers. Answers stifle speculation. Speculation fuels viral free advertising.

Benicio looks fantastic, doesn't he? The SW universe is going to benefit greatly from his performance, to be sure- whichever character he is going to be portraying.


On that topic, I think I share a similar notion with several others here- which is- *while I acknowledge that "BDT being Ezra" doesn't make much sense given the known storylines, PH's debunking, (and the overall SW fans non-awareness of "Ezra"), ...I still see it as a good match for the actor/character, and can't help but "see it" when looking at BDT or Ezra.*

In short, I don't really think BDT is Ezra, but a good part of me still kinda wants it to be so.

I suppose it's kinda fun to bicker about it too. (That's one reason why we're here, right?)

So, having conceded to that, I'll say something that I've said time and time again:
Extraordinarily excellent and clever writing- (especially within the grand "perceived possibility" of Sci-Fi/Fantasy) -can make nearly anything happen in a feasible way.
So when someone asks- "How would you explain the possibility of "Theory C" when "Quote 682" is already well-established?

The answer may easily be-
"excellent writing".

Still, I don't see it actually happening- and despite that, I still think BDT is going to dazzle all of us with his performance. I'm very much looking forward to it.

I realize that but it's even worse isn't it? Going from giving characters one word names down to straight no name in the film? I assume it's a fairly important character and not just a random cameo.

 

i also dont like how theyre being too mysterious about names...like wtf? even george wasnt so mysterious about it. if they are scared oflosing money, they shouldnt be as the prequels still made SO MUCH MONEY

Who cares what his name is. Where is he at in the pic? It sure isn't a casino. The other interesting thing is what is on his finger.

The console in the background with the 9 screens looks identical to the console on the MF that Rey watched to shut the door to free Finn from the Rathtar. So maybe BDT is in the hangar of his ship.

Hard to make out the marking on that ring but it certainly is a big ring.

 

You may be right. I just went and watched that scene. Maybe he's connected to one of the gangs.

 

Why would you assume he's so important?

And one word names do totally suck. Yoda for instance...so stupid and lazy.

 

Despite the tweet alluding to him not being a Fett, I'm still not entirely convinced he's not Boba Fett. The details of that part said he specifically wasn't Sir Vicrum Fett and that he wasn't a descendant or relative of Boba Fett. It said nothing about Boba Fett himself, despite the header "Fett." So even though he's likely not Boba in some form, I'm not going to throw in my cards yet on that one.
