    Kmt is being billed as the hero of tlj and a luke skywalker like character. I wasn't interested in her before convention now my interest is peaked. I look forward to seeing what she and find do this movie. Also tho I was a finney shipper I'm curious to see how finnrose works out.

    Mark Hamill also showed a lot of love for Kelly as if he spent some time with her. Kelly also mentions working not just with John but with Daisy too.

    Do we think then that Finn and Rose will actually get to meet Luke and Rey in The Last Jedi?

    I think this will be a setup movie for any kind of romance so 9 or the eu books to lay out the cards. ESB had time passage so you could believe the development. this is right after

    I can't really imagine a scenario where Finn and Rey (and Poe) aren't reunited. A whole movie without the three leads interacting together?

    *TFA is a slightly special case, as Poe was upgraded relatively late in the game. (Although I still can't believe there was no introduction scene between Rey and Poe. They just appear in the same room a couple of times. Missed opportunity.)

    Rey and Poe didn't technically meet in the movie, although they did in the novelization but considering the timeline Finn is kind of the glue he is the only character that had significant interaction with both.

I mean, you’ve got to think about it, between [episodes] VII and VIII, people have now heard about all the amazing things that he has done. And now he’s, like, waving and saying hi to all the resistance ladies around.” “Kelly’s character is an absolute fan of Finn. She’s so interested. It takes an interesting turn though as they get closer. The dynamic between them is very interesting. Finn sees a lot of himself in her, and she’s still trying to figure out her place. She’s not a soldier. She’s not a pilot. She’s trying to figure out what can she impart that’s important to the good fight. And so they both have to figure that out together.” (April 14, 2017)

    John Boyega: “Finn and Rose go off on a big adventure together and it’s something that’s very important for the story.
