    "may be called Admiral Holdo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi."

    I am midway through Bloodline(the book - no spoilers please). This pic - to me - exactly matches how the writer describes Lady Carise Sindian. But I got shut down when I said this on the Vanity Fair thread. The other poster said, "they already revealed her name and it's not Lady Carise Sindian". But it's not confirmed - it is a set rumor.

    IMO, that pic screams Carise Sindian and looks nothing like a Resistance Admiral. Could it be that LF thinks revealing her name is a spoiler - hence still blank on IMDB? Plus I thought someone involved a while back said she was a baddie. ???

    But her name was revealed in the article and it's Amilyn Holdo. It's blatantly stated here. I don't understand why people want to keep this rumour when it's already dead.

    The MSW article said that was her rumoured name this has now been confirmed by the Vanity Fair article.

    "Laura Dern’s character may be called Admiral Holdo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. That is the name being used by people around the production to talk about her."

    I don't read "confirmed character name" in those phrases.

    That's the MSW article check out @MagnarTheGreat post no 137 on the last page Vanity Fair list her name as Vice Admiral Holdo.

    Now does she look like a Resistance Admiral not really I suspect she is a Republic Admiral that has to work with the resistance after the events of TFA

    I have a feeling that Admiral Holdo is a spy for the First Order. I've read somewhere that she screws up Leia's plans and the Resistance. If it's true, it might have been done on purpose.

    It's summer; it's hot; I should study, but my SW speculation lobus distract me from doing anything useful. So I thought: could Admiral Holdo be related in some way to General Hux? Could her be his mother? Or, far from any direct parental relationship, could her be related to the FO in a way that concerns its own birth and the construction of Starkiller base itself?

    I don't know if the question has already been discussed, but let's think about one of the arguments from TFA haters: how could the Republic didn't know that a planet-sized superweapon was under construction? My personal thought is: it could, because someone from the inside was covering the actual fact, by moving the Senate's attention away from the upcoming disaster. What if Admiral Holdo was involved in this double-playing campaign? What if was actually her the one who caused the general blaming on Leia and her ultimate removal from the core of the Republic to that old looking Resistance base? Is anything of that present in some new canon material?
