    I'm not sure we'll see her with a lightsaber in this movie, but maybe later? Carrie doesn't need to be in fighting form; it was pretty convincing with the doubles they used for Ian McDiarmid and Christopher Lee.

    I really hate this decision. It's true the EU is no longer canon but in many people's mind Leia has been a jedi for almost 30 years now, I find it really strange that they decided to make such a radical change in the character.
    And the explanation was even more dumb, "it's just a choice that she made" but we are still going to see that she is force-strong because it's an intrinsic piece of her character. So she has this very special gift that she uses almost involuntarily but she never wanted to develop it at all? Doesn't make sense to me.

    Agree with you. A pity they threw away that part of her dilemma of acknowledging being Vader/Anakin's daughter, getting over it, accepting it and then kicking some ass by being a Jedi!

    I wouldn't even have needed to see her use a lightsaber or anything, just the implication that she could would have been enough. I mean I bet even Jocasta Nu knew how to use a lightsaber and she was a librarian...

    Was trolling the internet and stumbled upon a full view of Leia's blue costume. Not sure if it has cropped up here already, but the full view was new to me, and I think it looks quite nice! Elegant. This one is not at all "classy gas station attendant." :)

    Dunno about you, but I'm seeing white and gold, man.... (Sorry, could not physically restrain myself.)

    But yeah I'm pretty sure it's dark blue, we've seen the upper half in a trailer. Link to a less weirdly colored pic.
