Yeah, these are definitely high end collectibles. The detail is amazing.

My attitude towards collecting is to collect only one character, which is actually 3 -- Han with Chewie and the Falcon. That's enough.

My old collection before I sold it was out of hand.

WOW! i saw that posted a few days ago but just got to reading it today. i knew sideshow did detailed figures but i didn’t realize they did so much. the pictures were great, the textures are perfect...most action figures use the same paint and plastic on the eyes as the rest of the face, but it looks like they are different somehow. acrylic maybe? @Fiddlestyx awesome review.

    Glad you all liked it!

Yes, the eyes definitely stand out and are not painted on. At first I thought maybe they were glass, but acrylic is also possible. I can't find any info on what the eyes are made from.

Going to Paris in a week and New York this fall. Any tips for good Star Wars store. Find some but doesn't seem that good. I know I can buy it online, but you got to agree, it is just something with going into a store and buy it physically.

High end items like Hot Toys and SSC are moving closer to online only.

Actually, there's rumour flying that the Falcon might end being a special product on commission order.

At SDCC, HT refused to comment if the Tie will go into production as well.

There's another piece, the interior of the Falcon's lounge revealed 2 weeks ago at the Asian con along with the whole Falcon. Again, not confirmed for production.

so as i was unpacking my models and collectibles i decided I would finally post about my experience with products from Sideshow. I now have 4 models that i keep an Ikea book case for display. I dont move them around much, but yet they still break so easily...more then once they broke while i was putting it together for the first time..im no heart surgeon but when it comes to things that I really want to keep safe such as my Star Wars collectibles I am very careful. As i mentioned, i just moved recently and i had to pack everything away and then unpack it...my Artoo is not the best condition, he cant hold his tray any longer...my Imperial Probe Droid had an arm fall off. (just snapped in my hands, no kidding) Han Solo seems to be doing OK until i put his DL-44 in the holster, still holds but one part is broken.

Please dont confuse this rant for bashing, I promise you that is not my intention. I love the detail they put into the work. I just wish they would use more durable materials because as beautiful as they are I want them to last a long time.

Can anyone else relate to these concerns?
