Yes, and.... THE temple on Yavin, i.e. the Rebel base in ANH... that IS the Sith temple.

 

I'd love that! The connection between Rey and Han and Rey with Leia was so beautiful in TFA, and now again in this trailer. I still hope she could have been her daughter. If it's not, ok, but I'd love that.

 

They did the same with TLJ. Prior to the official final trailer that we got in October he was getting very little promotion and I found it odd and as a fan of Kylo, alarming... but everything turned out fine. I think it's just what they like to do.

 

And he got really good height on that choke slam, that's what's so impressive LOL

 

I think the movie will visit some characters and places in their quest to solve a "mystery" or to re-establish the Jedi and light side of the force... possibly there will be a lot of old technology; ships and creatures making cameos throughout. They'll be on a quest for the "real" story of the past in order to win the final confrontation.

 

And The Death Start imploded into what looked like a trillion tiny pieces...

 

One thing I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing resolved on screen is why the mask is repaired? What purpose does it serve going forward? It feels like we've established that Kylo isn't a Vader Fanboy anymore but his own Dark Entity. Why bring back (what essentially) was a disguise?

 

I will say this about JJ Abrams, the guy understands the tone/spirit of the OT as that felt just like ANH, ESB, ROTJ and TFA. He may not make the most original movie, but he captured the feel of the OT in that Trailer! As a fan who was turned off from TLJ, they got me back!

JJ said (or so I thought he said) that at the start of the film, the main crew were all together on a mission. Is finding the Death Star part of this and will it be near the beginning of the film?

I also think that Rey and Leia are hugging on Yavin 4, where Leia picks up the medal. Could this be at the start?

Completely insane theory: Is it possible that Palpatine never died to begin with? This is nuts, but Maul was deader than dead as well.... Insane (moreso) Palpatine living in wreckage of Death Star after escaping explosion somehow.... Sorry, was possessed by Mike Zeroh for a second

 

Oh, and the music was heartbreakingly beautiful.

In my opinion the mask gave Kylo a more menacing presence and this movie is in definitely need of that, Adam is a great actor but he portrays a troubled and conflicted kid, and his dynamics with Hux at the end of the last movie made the first order look like a joke.

 

Palpatine got stuck on a big screw on the way down and nobody ever checked. He hung around till the ship crashed and now eat the wildlife like a hermit. Force lighting cooked dolphins.

 

WITH LANDO AND CHEWIE FLYING TOGETHER!! I threw up both hands and screamed "yes!" when I saw that!

 

I must say that was an amazing teaser! I do like the idea of Rey taking on the mantle of a Skywalker. I'm not sure that the TIE fighter scene is some sort of test for Rey. I'm pretty sure that that's Kylo Ren in that TIE fighter. Also with regards to dear old Palp Fiction. Wasn't there TFA concept art of Rey entering a throne room with him in it? Alot of what is in this trailer reminds me of things that we saw in the unused concept art for TFA. It's a shot in the dark but maybe if we look there we might find something interesting?
