Thanks to the DisneyNow app the first 3 episodes are already available to watch.

    This has spoilers so beware!

I didn't expect a lot from this series, but I enjoyed this pilot a lot more than I did with the Rebel series premier. I don't have experience with the animation style, but I love the way this show looks. The color palette really pops. By the time Kaz/Poe arrive at the Colossus I was totally hooked on the look and feel of this series and it feels very much like Star Wars to me.

For a 43 minute episode I'm amazed at how well the new characters are introduced. It's all very organic and it's funny. I love the mix of creatures/humans so far. Oh, and the ships look amazing!

I don't expect Poe to be a huge part of this series, but he's used well to introduce us to Kaz. I really loved how Neeku Vozo was introduced and how he spread the rumor that Kaz was the best pilot in the galaxy. I was curious how BB-8 would be used, but he seems to be a major part of the series despite being Poe's droid. This takes place pretty close to The Force Awakens so I expect this show to pass The Last Jedi in future seasons.

Overall this show is a lot of fun. It's full of great characters who I'm sure are going to be further developed. It also has some strong minor characters. Fix, Orka and the bartender whose name escapes me probably won't be huge characters, but they have some good moments. This is a show that should appeal to children and fans alike. Plus, it should serve to give us some much needed backstory on the First Order, the Resistance, and the New Republic.

*pout* DisneyNow isn't available over here... Well, I guess that means a trip to a certain pirate's cove at some point for me...

Just caught the first episode & I have to agree that it was great. Absolutely gorgeous art style & I love how vibrant it is. I found that Kaz came across as quite irritating in the trailers but I actually warmed to him fairly quickly which I’m thankful for.

It’s a lighthearted & fun start with very quirky characters & creatures. I’m looking forward to how the show progresses. It’s certainly very different to the clone wars & rebels which is def a good thing as it feels fresh & new.

I love how Star Wars always leaves me wanting more!

Star Wars definitely has a troll problem.

This will adjust once more people see the show, but I really don't get what these losers are trying to accomplish.

I'm about to watch it air on Disney in a little while. Honestly, don't have any expectations for it. I'm curious to see how this show will open a new aspect of the GFFA. Not sold on the art from the trailers but despite their marketing purpose, trailers are becoming less reliable of a way to rate media. Open mind, but not expecting anything other than a fun kids' show.

I too... found a way to watch it.
It's a kids show alright, but a good kids show. It looks great, the characters are interesting enough with a lot of room for developement and has good messages. The First Order is being built up slowly and we can expect the show to grow over time. I've also noticed that they've listened to the manbabies trailer reactions and cut short some of the goofiness.
Overall, a great start and I look forward to seeing where it goes.

Yeah, that's just sad. And lame.

After watching the first episode, I have a few thoughts. I love the side characters in this show. The aliens in the bar and the duo in the junk shop are delightful. I love the worldbuilding and the fun things happening all around our principle characters. The only problem is that I would much rather stay in the junk shop with the rat and chicken alien guys than go with Kaz back to the hangar. The show is predictable and has formulaic dialogue that feels uninspired at times just to get the story set up and moving. I'm hoping that gets better when they are no longer trying to build the world and conflict of the film. Not sure how I feel about the animation yet. At times it feels whimsical and appropriate but at other times it looks cheap and unfinished. Let's see if it gets better or grows on me. I'll be back to watch more of this show simply because I want to see all of the little moments from all of the side characters. They are this show's greatest strength.

Kaz is more interesting to me than Ezra. Now Ezra grew on me during Rebels run, but Kaz is a little generic to start out, but there's room for growth.

Yeah, Kaz is fine, but I feel like I've seen his character and story so many times before. Right now, I'm just so much more interested in the other characters that fill out this world than I am in Kaz, Poe, or the rest of Kaz's racing crew (except for Bucket, Bucket might be a lot of fun). I'm hoping we will get a bunch of Wacky Races and Speed Racer references in this show. Don't know if kids who didn't grow up with Boomerang will catch any of the references but their parents will.

Kaz is one those young and immature types, who learns lessons during the shows run (like in the first 3 episodes). I expect him to mature and improve around the time the First Order plot really kicks in.
Speaking of which - Kaz's father is a NR senator, so the destruction of the Hosnian system would provide some heavy character development for him.

I wasn’t expecting very much of it, but I just watched it And found it fresh in a good kind of way, and much fun. It’s light stuff made for kids, but that makes it not less enjoyable on a certain level. For the start, the environment and all those old and new trilogy aliens are one of its strength.

It’s a different approach on style, but I can stand it ;) (I wasn't sure after watcvhing the trailer). Definitely a new color palate within the Star Wars universe.

And of course I need to know all about those new X-Wing type of the Republic and the FO TIE Interceptor. I like that red (Baron)!

OK, and now I want more of it.
    (x-wing)

EDIT: Just found three more. Those coves can be full of treasure sometimes. Going to start watching them in a moment...

I watched the first episode last night on TV. I enjoyed it for what it is--a cartoon for kids. The colors and the voice acting really stood out. I think I'll quickly get used to the animation style too. I hope we're going to get more racing and general fancy flying as the show progresses.

I wasn't sure I was going to like Kaz (I never really warmed to Ezra Bridger) but I think I am going to be okay with him. I think his father is going to be an interesting component since he thinks the Resistance people are "radicals." Not sure if he is to represent the typical New Republic attitude or if there is going to be more to it than that, but either way it will be intriguing in light of what we know happens in TFA.

Overall, it's something fun and interesting. It's not going to rock my world but I'll look forward to seeing what's happening in the time period around the ST.

I liked it - the setting, the characters (so far Neeku is my fave), the animation - especially landscapes and flying. My favorite moment: when BB-8 (Dave) clearly says: Wow, what a brat! :D

I was never a big fan of Chopper, but I couldn't help but wonder when I was watching this that it would be cool if he's introduced in this series. I wonder where Chopper is during this time period.

I thought the show was a great upbeat show for the family to enjoy. I love the color scheme and the characters are fun. I am looking forward to meeting the other racers, especially the old grizzled Empirial pilot. I hope BB8 doesn't stay too long with Kaz. I love BB8, but it would be confusing in the canon timeline. I read the Poe comic and BB8 is with Poe on some of the missions that are close to the TFA timeline. I really like the droid name Bucket. I can't wait when we get more First Order action.

I saw the first 3 episodes and I hope it picks up. It's definitely a kids show but the goofiness in every scene takes me out of it. I'll put the show on the on par the lower goofy episodes of Rebels but Rebels had me hooked way better than this show so far. I'm still going to give it a chance. The show still has potential but as now Rebels was the better show.

It lacks some Force things to me to get hooked to it and besides that considering the timeline, all those people are dead 6 months later, so I don't really get the point to tell their story unless they're supposed to be in ep IX.
