Star Wars movies are weird, but is it possible The Rise of Skywalker ends up being the weirdest Star Wars movie to date? J.J. Abrams is on record saying he wanted to take some risks after seeing what Rian Johnson did in The Last Jedi, and if any of the wild theories or rumors pan out, we're in for a hell of a ride. We talk about all possible fun weirdness that would make Episode IX the weirdest Star Wars yet, so come get weird with us!

We also bring back One With the Force and as always, feature the best of your tweets in Resistance Transmissions!

The Resistance base is open to all, so spread the word about TRB and join us!

I think RoS will be "weird", in that it takes chances and goes places entirely new and original, and... I absolutely think it should.

A common complaint against RoJ is that the final chapter of the OT doesn't really add anything new and wild, story-wise. All the pieces were set up beforehand and every arc launched on their set trajectory, and all RoJ did (at least to some degree) was to connect the dots and tie off the ends. I really like RoJ, but it is not the most adventurous of SW movies. RoS on the other hand, will go weird and aim for being interesting, instead of just lining up some plot points and finale sequences to get us to the end credits. No, RoS will, and should, spin stuff around and go color way outside the lines to top off the entire 3 trilogy saga with a satisfying and exiting ending that will make us talk about the scope, film making craft, and significance of the film for decades to come!

    JJ, go for it! :D

It will be weird if Rey spends all her time in Jordan.
