    I personally like them a lot and think they function well to connect the 8 movies (including TLJ).

    I'd prefer to see more like 30 than 12 in EIX.


    I don't think only having 12 will be too much of a big deal, greatly reducing my enjoyment of TLJ.

    I'd put on par with using that LA ad hoc orchestra rather than the LSO for TFA. I could tell it wasn't the LSO (I'd forgotten it was different orchestra until Finn & Poe's escape, and I had been thinking the music and the performance were below SW standards, and realized that while it wasn't one of SW best soundtracks, the performance didn't have quite the cohesion and power like older movies did), but it didn't ruin it for me by any stretch. I wonder how much of that is because of the rushed post-production. I'm hoping JW can bounce back for this one.

    If the wipes are in good spots and are noticeable (one of the few times you want a transition to be noticeable), I don't think the film will suffer. If RJ has done something as original as everyone claims he has, then the wipes are a small thing.

    JJ essentially remade ANH, but he didn't use nearly as many wipes.

    RJ has a lot to do in TLJ (and will hopefully explain a lot of the junk JJ threw at the wall to see what would stick) in addition to telling his own story, so finding places for 20 more wipes doesn't seem like a good use of his time editing the film.

    To me, the lesser amount of wipes will be no problem at all. I'm not up in the technical aspects of filmmaking such as that and therefore I don't really notice those sort of the things when I'm watching a movie.

    The Express is very click bait, and very much all about Mike Zeroh.

    However what Rian said was Snoke is like the Emperor in the ST. He's there for story telling, but you won't learn much about his own story in VIII.
