What things from the Thrawn Trilogy would you like to see implemented into Rebels Season 3 and beyond?

Maybe Maul is taking the Joruus C'Baoth role, pining after Ezra rather than the crazy Jedi clone trying to get Luke and Leia. Will we see the ysalamiri make an appearance? Could Hondo be our new Talon Karrde? What about Mara Jade?

I like the sound of Maul being some kind of Joruus C'Baoth. But please, keep ysalamiri in Legends lol.

And well, I don't see how Mara Jade would fit but we never know!

I'd like to see Pellaeon as a veteran of the clone wars.

The ysalamiri won't be in it. Filoni said so in an interview. He talked it over with Lucas at one point and didn't like the idea of "force negation bubbles".

I don't think it is possible to have this be a retread of the thrawn trilogy. Thrawn was an underdog fighting back against the new republic. Most essential story elements don't fit into a pre-ANH world.

I'll be happy if he character and essence is the same, even if no story elements are reused.

If they still go for the 7 seasons route, I'd love to see Jade as an emperor's hand. She'd be about Ezra's age and serve as a great foil to Ezra.

I would be up for a Maul/C'Baoth encounter, he already has his dathomorian sights set on Ezra we saw in the trailer that he will tempt the young force wielder, I would welcome ysalamiri, as we have seen they are effective against the force, Hondo may not be into a lucrative lifestyle like Talon just yet, I would welcome a Mara Jade appearance but I guess Tarkin wouldn't want to play that card just yet.

I'm all for seeing more things from the Thrawn Trilogy in Rebels. I'd love to see Talon Karde for instance. Another figure they could bring in would be Garm Bel Iblis. He would fit well with all of the various Rebel commanders of different cells.

Can't believe nobody picked this up. From the social buzz, dated september 17th:

"When I first started trying to come up with the voice for Thrawn, I was fascinated by the idea that he was a Chiss. Blue skin, red eyes. That was unusual, because most of the generals and admirals in the Empire up to that point were white British sounding men. In some of the books it was implied that the Empire was a bit xenophobic. So originally I was playing with the idea of giving him an accent that would make him seem foreign or like an outsider to what we typically hear in the Empire. But as we recorded it my director, Kevin Thompsen, rightly pointed out that he felt Thrawn’s genius was very reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes. So we went back and recorded Thrawn as a deep baritone voiced Brit. I think it works much better than what I had started with. The Noghri were really fun to voice, but were challenging because they can be a bit rough on the throat."

So, the Noghri are a thing. Wonder if and how these assassin's will feature in Rebels.

The interview was with the guy who did the audio narration for the anniversary edition of the original novel. So the reference to the Noghri was concerning their original appearance in the Heir to the Empire trilogy, not a future appearance in Rebels.

Yeah what @Hard Case said. I about to say Kevin Thompson was the director for audio books.

That being said, how cool would it be if we actually did get to see the Noghri in Rebels?!

Well... I'd definitely miss them calling Leia "Lady Vader" LOL.

Garm is far from my favorite character, but I think he makes the most sense to add in. He was in the ROTS novel, so his character is canon, even if they dont' decide to make him a leader of rebellion. Getting to see Corellia would be a good tie in for the Han solo movie as well.

So much of the thrawn trilogy is tied up in post ROTJ stuff. I'm not sure I want to see Noghri if they don't get to have their interactions with Lady Vader post Vader's death. They are reduced to generic assassins if they don't have that redemptive arc.

If that was the case I would be counting the days till Thrawn's demise but I don't think that will happen yet considering he lived till 9 aby

I think it would be fun to see Talon Karrde and Jarus C'boath. Also it might be interesting if Ezra had a run in with Mara Jade. I think C'boath is a really good character for what is happening this season to. Talon Karrde could be any season or a Star Wars Story, I would just love to see him in the universe again. It would be cool if Ezra and Sabine start to actually have a romance because Mara Jade comes into the picture and makes Sabine realize she has feeling for Ezra. Also the cloning thing could be interesting, maybe with like Ezra or Kanan instead of Luke though. I mainly just want the characters back though.
